Looks like it would be the perfect pack to carry high on the shoulders with the 1967 field pack suspenders designed for the m1961 butt pack. Mine have the two J-hooks in front, high on the straps and I’ve got an adapter designed to carry a second m1961 field pack up high, like a small backpack. With this pack I could remove the adapter and just use those short straps on the pack, it would give me a larger pack up high. I’ve been waiting for this channel for 10 years, where have you been man! Lol, I love this old web gear, keep it up please!

That hanger patch is also a great place to hang a E-tool. I am with you on the loop being a helmet attachment. Good video, thank you.

i think a lot of people make a lot of rather faulty assumptions about when stuff was issued. for some reason they seem to think it took months up to a year for an item to make it in theatre and into combat. not sure what theyre basing this on as even a slower moving merchant ship could make it from america to pretty much anywhere in the world in 2-5 weeks. and its not like these non perishable goods stocks were being rotated through. when new stuff showed up at the depot they just threw it on top of the pile (unless otherwise directed) and started passing it out from there.
