The Wesco Region is looking amazing. I love its roster of pokemon and its new evolution mechanic. My team would consist of Captalon, Lumbeav, Darkowl, Jokrime, Sataniaur, and Terreign. I know its weird to have pokemon that are the equivalent of Batman and The Joker respectfully on the same team, but I couldn't resist. Besides, haven't both Batman and Joker teamed up before? BTW, I love the evolutionary lines of the Comikid and Crookid.

I like the superhero pokemon concept, but I think the execution falls flat for a couple of reasons. One: They're based on strictly DC characters. With the wide variety of superhero culture available, it doesn't seem right to just show representation of DC. It seems kinda biased. Two: because of having to homage specific superheroes, the designs end up not seeming like they work well as pokemon. There's so many ways to make a superhero pokemon that works well, but I personally think these designs sacrifice creativity for being easily recognizable as these characters.

I feel like that too, but I do like that it makes it easy to understand the connection between typing and the individual nemeses. I think the art style has little part to play in that feeling. The art is good, but it's not strictly the Sugimori style we're used to, that's also evident in bisurge's design: it just looks like a painted bison, not quite the style we're used to, even if it is a good design and idea.

Grass starter has 4x weakness to the water starter's secondary typing & 2x weakness to the fire starter's primary typing. I feel like the starters' typings were poorly thought through. Water should've definitely been a water/ground.

Their overall type balancing is off, but I think the intent was to separately balance the secondary types. Flying-Rock-Fighting is the only trio where the resistances and weaknesses work in the exact way as the usual starter types.

So if I were getting the games based on the name alone it would Pokemon Virtue. For my starter I would absolutely pick Kidle! Oakub would have been my pick but I'm not digging the evolutions. Eldram isn't exactly my favorite evolution either, but I like the first and second evolutions compared to Oakub's. Also, Bruizzly gives me massive Balrog vibes. For this region (now that I'm learning to take notes and comment more on these Fakemon videos, which I might go back to the others and comment on those) I actually have a team that isn't a single type: Eldram Frigician Moisturat Brewdini Beryvern Tromagzii There were some other Pokemon of the same typing that I also liked, but I wanted to make sure I had more balanced team if this were an actual game (learning my lesson from my first playthrough of SwSh haha!)
