My family and I went to the Queens Night Market when it first started and there weren’t as many stalls as there are now. Our strategy was to have each person stand on one line and buy food. Then we all meet and share what we got. Everyone loved the kaya toast. I’ve had the shark sandwich before. It just tasted like a fish sandwich. Also as I get older I realize that there’s very few things I would stand on a long line for anymore.

@wendy_g5 ай бұрын
@@uaeats real shark meat. It's usually from the smaller size sharks and just the meaty cuts. It's battered and fried. And the bake is a fried bread. We have 2 types of "bakes" or local bread...this fried one that is traditionally used for shark and bake and one that is made with coconut flakes and coconut cream and baked in the oven. Our food is traditionally quite spicy. Hope you have time to try some Trini food in the future. My husband and I love your videos and have been watching for a very long time. Time out.. now I know I’m a vegetarian and know nothing about meat, but when people describe “gamey”, it’s a texture. Not a dang flavor. The heck are you going on about with “gamey flavor”??
@Marmelder5 ай бұрын
The term "gamey meat" or the gamey taste meaning is associated with the distinct flavor and aroma of game meat. This profile is described as strong, musky, earthy, and gamy. It is very different from the flavor that you get from domesticated animals, including beef, chicken, or pork.
