You really should schedule the meeting (preferably in the jurisdiction where you filed the report) and have the cops meet you there. Contact the Criminal Investigations Division (CID) of the PD where you filed the report and see if they will work with you. I know a non-injury accident is small potatoes for them, but if you take the initiative, you'd be surprised how willing they may be to help.

Best way to confront without catchin' an assault charge and still be ready to pull the trigger at a moments notice is to put it in a Carhart Coat pocket with tool in hand, finger on trigger pointed directly towards subject . (Not that I know anything about doing something like that, but it was just a thought.

I probably wouldn't pursue it. It could go horribly wrong. Plus, if he knows you're looking for him, all he has to do is get his car fixed. Then he could be like, "My car is fine. I never touched him!" Or just get rid of the car and still deny it.

recently you mentioned drivers getting Uber eats deliveries without switching to Uber eats. This happened to me last week. I contacted Uber and their response was, because I used my driver app to add Uber eats they are tied in together. if I want them separate I would have to delete it off my driver app and download the Uber eats app and create another account

File a law suit & police report. DO NOT CONFRONT person. You could end up dead!!!! THINK!!!!! Our last accident we were T - boned. Car totaled to the tune of $19,000. We had $1000 ins deductible. Police said I was at fault for making left turn. I eventually proved he was speeding, no ins, car not registered. I got my entire $1000 back.

I hope not a young daughter which would be worst to tag along) and confront shady people on the shady side of town. I drive rideshare and when I worked for lyft, a limo hit me.. turns out the driver traded license with a cousin or something.. but they police never got back to me. I leased that car, the scratches and slight dent were overlooked by the dealer who traded it out for the sale of a new car which i love. no pay on my end, but the limo company which had vanity plates was easy to find.. just nothing done about it. the system is screwed up. Hope the best for you, Buddy! love those mustangs. I didn't know you could uber with a 2 door. I thought they restricted that to four.

@Uber Man - I would check into that 3 times. I'm doing a few commercial liens on the private side (BTW, you really don't need to do this in court if you know how to do it privately. File your affidavits of truth, etc.)... For example: Value of property in question: $2,000.00 Times 3 times punitive + $6,000.00 $8,000.00

when you find information about the car owner , car title...etc, does not show insurance information ? from dmv?... or insurance broker can dig that info?...then get pictures without confronting and file to their ins?... sucks getting hit and left hanging with nothing.

When you guys meet up with the low life, make sure you have the police there to arrest them and in some states if they don't have car insurance they automatically lose that car and that car is sold to make up the money they owe you!

I would not send Jessica to meet him. You should really think twice about any direct confrontation, who knows what could happen. You have insurance for these things.If there is indeed over $2000 damage, file a claim. Yes, you will be out the deductible.If you know who it is, and think you can prove it, then you can use small claims court for loss if you really think it's worth it. Otherwise, eat it and move on. I would urge you not to do the confrontation thing. It's a really bad idea.
