I am a retired truck driver with both a hazardous materials endorsement and a TWIC (transit worker identification). You must get background, checked, FBI, and fingerprinted, for both of them, same location, same time, same background check, two different prices. Isn’t that special?

I opt out from taking teens. Parents order the ride for their teens and I don’t know it’s a teen till I get there. If I cancel the ride, looks bad at me.😣

No it doesn't you cancel the ride because it's a underage unaccompanied minor. If they don't automatically pay you for it which they should but the conveniently they never want to call in and get your cancellation fee at first they will tell you that you didn't wait to require time they do this with car seats too. We absolutely do not have to take unaccompanied minors I don't know about you but I don't want the responsibility. It takes one false claim and you are out work. I'll pass.

If you don't have a record or clean background you don't have to fret. Also you are dealing with children so it makes sense you have to be fingerprinted to deal with kids.

@ I have no record and no issues of concern. I’m retired and do this to stay busy and earn a little extra. If Uber wants us to go the extra mile for them (and make no mistake, this is about them getting more market share) they need to go the extra mile for us…. And we ALL know what the odds of that are. I’ve greatly reduced the amount of time I drive for Uber because we all know the closer they can get us to slavery the happier they will be. We’re just a stopgap until they can cut us out with driverless cars.
