I will admit I enjoy the farcry games ( plain and simple lol) though don't care much for the newer assassin creeds. I can understand having to cut off the multiplayer servers, and being weary about releasing their net code for fear of reverse engineering ( which we know a few bad actors would use to cheat in newer games). The part I can't understand is why DLC wouldn't be available. If the games would still be available to download then would it really cost that much more to leave the files for DLC available?

Bethesda, Ubisoft, Blizzard, Activision, EA, Bungie, 343, Bioware and CD Project Red are all trash companies now. its sad that only Square Enix and Capcom tried to turn it around and soo far they are doing well and sometimes mess up bad. indie games is my last hope for gaming.
@immortalfrieza

"Companies exist to make money." I've always hated that saying. Yes, companies will make a profit, but they exist to provide a product or service, money is the end result of that. That money is a reward for providing a product or service worth buying, and if they dick with their customers and provide terrible products and services, then they don't or at least shouldn't make money. It's when the company gets so big that they no longer need to rely upon their fans and can just draw from an endless fountain of idiots that the problem begins. Before then they at least try to make it look like they give a damn.

with the removal of a simple way to get audio from a PS5 without an AVR hifi system there is not way to get 4k 120Hz or even simple audio properly routed through except the controller. Sony telling everyone to buy more useless expensive gear when PCs simply allow everything (3.5mm, usb and optical) same as PS2 and PS3 with optical. The good thing about PS4 is there will be better homebrew updates coming to make the games work forever for anyone who has no old PS4 or never had one like me.

There's absolutely nothing about physical that would stop them including DRM in the software. Look at PC game CD's/DVD's. It's all just steam codes. I'm actually curious about what Steam is going to do with Ubisoft games that take away access. This was never done before. Unfortunately even with physical games they can still lock you out of these featured if its integrated into the software itself to do server checks or is in general locked to said server for things such as multiplayer and online co-op.

@@AlphaOmegaSin yeah its because the disk (if it even comes with a disk cause now you get codes) just basically is your key to download it digitally. Im for full physical. Like nintendo is going back to cartridges because they can handle full games now while disks are lagging behind.

How insane does it feel, that in the world of gaming, you can take a half decade+ break from covering news topics, come back and it feels like we have not missed a beat. Like 2015, 2022, either year you could see this being a story. It's mind boggling how little the industry ever learns.
