こういう「食堂」なくなってきたよね、、 手作り、だから何食べても美味しさ、温かさを感じる。 一人暮らしの時、すぐ横が夫婦でやってるカウンターだけの食堂だった。 いつもそこで夕飯食べたり、出前してきてくれたり、、風邪引いた時に 注文したら少しだけどサービスで刺身をつけてくれたのが忘れられない。

ドコから感想言えば良いのやら💧 まずは、じいちゃんとばあちゃんがやってる店ってだけで美味しいの確定。 厨房で笑いながらのやりとり、本当に好きデス♪ そして、昭和感漂う食器や調理器具の数々、もうたまりませんわ（笑） 自分は人生折り返しの真っ只中デスが、この先はこう言う夫婦になれるなら、と。 うなぎ丼の安さに逆に心配してしまいましたし、オムライスあれはマジで食べたい‼️（涙） でも遠いのよ💧 もう感動すらありますが、無理しない範疇で、ずっと続けていって欲しいと切に願います❗ 本当、観てるだけで御馳走様でした♪

現在、桂屋は父が階段から落ちてリハビリ中です☆母も腰の骨にヒビが入りリハビリ中です☆店は閉まってますが、母はお店で座って何やら片付けしております☆いつかまた元の様に戻ればいいのですが、少し厳しそうです☆近くに来た際はお気軽に寄ってお茶でも飲んでいって下さいませ❤動画をみたと言うと喜んでいます☆

I think they are cooking amazing food. What’s sad is their children have chosen not to be part of their business or even to help. They are in their 70’s and they should be retired by now. No, this isn’t Tokyo but very far down south and not in a big city. No one in Japan pays twice even in Tokyo as eating out is much cheaper in Japan than the US and we don’t ever tip, it’s a taboo. Please don’t bring your western mentality to Japan. Japan isn’t the west nor we ever strive to be. Dining out in the west is generality way over priced. Only place you spend like that is Tokyo as land is extremely expensive and you can’t survive charging like this. But still the prices are no where near of those in the West.

They got people around. It’s not pity as they choose to do this. Craftsmen including the Japanese chef like this in Japan take pride in what they do. And they love what they do but they are very stubborn and disciplined. They enjoy having their own restaurant and ability to create their own menu and do all of these themselves. How is that pity? Do you really think you can be doing this since 1980s if you don’t love what you do? These people take pride in their work. That’s why food tastes out of the world in restaurants like this in Japan unlike some parts of the world where someone just does this to make money. Of course there’s such pathetic place like chains and all, but we don’t usually prefer those establishments over this kind of place. Money isn’t everything in Japan unlike some places where money only matters.
