2002年7月8日、モモタロウも一緒に千葉市動物公園へ戻る。

2016年10月12 日、出産。生後1時間の時点で死亡したと判断される。(父：ハオコ)

Haoko was born on 21 August 1993, at Apenheul Primate Park in the Netherlands.
He was transferred to Taronga Zoo in Sydney, Australia along with the rest of his family on 6 December 1996.
He moved to Ueno Zoo on 27 June 2007.
●Momoko(female)
Momoko was born on 3 June 1983, in Spain (?).
In 1987 She moved to Japan and kept at Aritake.
On March 29, 1990 she moved to Chiba Zoological Park.
On July 27, 1999 she moved to Ueno Zoo.
On July 3, 2000 she gave birth to Momotarou whose father was Biju.
On July 8, 2002 she returns to Chiba Zoological Park with Momotarou.
On December 2, 2008 she moved to Ueno Zoological Gardens with Momotarou .
On November 14, 2009 she gave birth to Komomo whose father was Haoko.
On April 24, 2013 she gave birth to Momoka whose father was Haoko.
On October 12, 2016 she gave birth to but the baby died soon after.
On October 9, 2017 she gave birth to Riki whose father was Haoko.
● Toto(female)
Toto was born in around 1978, in Cameroon.
On September 8, 1979 she moved to Shizuoka Municipal Nihondaira Zoo.
On July 9, 1999 she moved to Ueno Zoo.
● Komomo (female)
Father : Haoko , Mother : Momoko
Komomo was born on 14 November 2009 at Ueno Zoo.
● Momoka (female)
Father : Haoko , Mother : Momoko
Momoka was born on 24 April 2013 at Ueno Zoo.
●Riki(male)
Father : Haoko , Mother : Momoko
Riki was born on 9 October 2017 at Ueno Zoo.

poor Momoko! She appears to be tired and in need of some peace and quiet with the baby. I know the rest of the family can't help themselves, they just want to see and love on the little one. I know when I had my babies, as much as I loved my family and friends, all I wanted was to be left alone to rest and recuperate, get my strength back . Didn't even want baby daddy around truth be told.!!! LOL!!

I hope baby is okay. It doesn’t seem to be holding on too good. On the other hand, monkeys cling like Velcro as soon as they come out and they continue to cling until the mother has to beat the tar out of it to get it off and force it to walk.

It looked like the baby had to hang on maybe more than it should have for the first few days. Mother would normally hold it close to her chest. I think Momoko didn’t feel well.

So sweet but very sad the keepers had to take the baby away from her mom. I hope it won't have to be for tio long. But if they have to hand rear the baby it will be many months before she can be with her mom again. Breaks my heart because I've heard she's a very good mom. Looks like somebody is jealous too. lol

Dad(?) was even curious!! First a quick peek, then touching baby ever so gently with moms supervision. 🥰🥰🥰 The rest of the group came one by one, quietly up to mom. Until one started antagonizing mom-that’s always a no go!! And chased her off!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 But poor baby didn’t quite have the strength to hang on so mom could walk on all fours!!

Zoo staff should have provided appropriate care to new mother and provided private enclosure to assure the bonding safety and well being of the newborn endangered species. This failure to act according to protocol is both negligent and abusive by withholding basic structures and abiding the agreement when containing endagered species in such confined space that new births require a separate and separation of mother and newborn as in their natural habitat these new mothers would go away from troupes long enough to rest and bond and provide sufficient feeding of newborn without constant harassment of other female members and begin a negative response of father or male gorillas as jealousy for attentions as well as discord within the troupe itself.

A lot of people are angry with Momoko’s care before and after the birth. I knew something was wrong because she looked like she was really struggling. Plus being an older female and dealing with Haoko’s anger might have pushed her into early labor. Hopefully they can give Momoko her baby back and just keep them separate for awhile.🙏🏽

Interesting … l have been watching them… my impression was Momotaro was not affectionate to Genti nor did he have an active sex drive. I am surprise he is from this affectionate family. Something was mentioned that his father died before he was born. I am confused now. I thought Genti is a devoted mother and very patient with Momotaro when mating. He had no clue of the mating ….

Momotaro momotaro is not cruel to him or anyone she is mistreated also by Genki because she's so selfish and only cares about her own desires and never shows any love or affection towards anyone else except for the baby she's focused on it and then again it's not like she's ever played with them or anything like that look at other gorillas in the mothers will play with their kids a lot she never does that and they made a huge mistake by putting her with when with Hardo who didn't deserve her because he should have gotten a better gorilla that wasn't traumatized by his own father in the past don't hate on him it's not his fault he's a good father actually
