After the Kara-France vs Albazi robbery judges decision, I notice that every bad UFC judging moment has benefitted the UFC by keeping their stars safe like Paddy Pimblett, Sean O'Malley and Israel Adesanya, let me know what you guys think in the comments section down below.

I just find it funny that we very rarely lose a potential star due to them being robbed on the come up, it seems like 90% of the time, if there is a star involved in a "controversial" decision, they win.

Reyes is actually Johnny's older half brother. Jon Jones and GSP being treated like unstoppable Gods is not really fair to other good fighters. Justin Gaethje should be considered the GOAT, because he's only had one really poor performance in the UFC against Khabib. I've been saying this for a while now: They fix fights when it's a close decision and one fighter winning vastly benefits them financially. It's just like boxing who's been doing this for decades, except the excuse for boxing is they have multiple big promoters, and typically if it goes the distance the W goes to the guy fighting for that event's promoter. In UFC they're all under the same promotion so they give the decision to whoever will help them generate more revenue. I also believe they encourage the judges to get random fights like Albazi/Kai wrong on purpose, to create a false air of incompetency. It would be very sus if they ONLY got big/important fights wrong in a way that benefited them, so they have to combat that by throwing random fighters under the bus every card to make it clear that the judges will regularly get it wrong. I don't think the judges are the problem at all, I think they're doing what they're told to create this smokescreen which disguises the UFC's corruption. Kai was robbed so that when they rob Aljo, or Chandler, or Jones' next opponent in favor of the bigger star, fans will say "oh those crazy judges again" instead of noticing the obvious corruption.
@nathanmorar8007
@nathanmorar8007 Жыл бұрын
Good point and I would agree but not for this fight. There was a very clear incentive for Albazi to win. Albazi is now ranked #3 and ahead of Royval who’s the back up for the title fight. Pantoja and Moreno are fighting in July. There’s an Abu Dhabi fight card in October. Everything aligns to boost that Middle East and Muslim market for that fight.
@ruin3r
@ruin3r Жыл бұрын
@Olives Chad 👱🏾 The short version is the judges are on Dana’s payroll, they fix low and mid tier fights regularly to cover for fixing big/important fights, cause it would be too sus if they only did the big ones.

I've seen many mma medias/youtubers whining about bad decisions right after the fights and forget about it in a couple days. MMA GURU is the only one who return to the topic and analyze the reasons behind all these bad decisions from the judges. I strongly believe UFC brass has dinner with these corrupted judges before fights to make sure the result goes certain way, and these judges are immune to being fired because they are not hired by UFC. It is a perfect escape plan for both judges and the UFC. Elite fighters that have no finishing power like Colby, Whitaker, Sean are most vulnerable to this kind of system, they can have their victories robbed right from under their feet and there's nothing they can do about it.

Another blatant robbery that would favor the UFC was Song Yadong winning via UD over Chito Vera. Song was on the rise as a bantamweight contender in the UFC with an undefeated record in the promotion, and hailing from China (a huge market to exploit). They gave him the win on all scorecards, when Chito clearly won the fight.

That wasn’t a blatant robbery lol. Media had it split down the middle. Song had more significant strikes and total strikes as well. Ridiculous claim. I could even see chito winning but that’s a close ass fight.

This is as on point as it gets - every "robbery" will always be "coincidentally" on the side that profits the UFC. The UFC could easily have the SAC judges replaced if they wanted to - just like how they got rid of the worst referees (Mazagatti and Yamasaki). But these judges are complicit in making these guys billions, unlike those refs.

its the same as in a casino. You dont need a big advantage, but over time you win huge. If one judge is in your pocket, that means if your guy loses big, he loses, but if your man is close, its a draw and if its a draw your guy wins and if he wins, he wins big.

I have an alternative theory: Televised sport revolves around betting. The biggest stars attract the largest amount of betting. Corrupt commissions choose referees and judges that favor stars because they want to maximize the amount of betting in the long-term. That means that betting lobbies likely control these commissions. The UFC probably cannot control this, but they might exploit this by scheduling high-profile fights in states with corrupt commissions because they also benefit from their stars being favored by judges and referees (through PPV buys, gates, merch, etc...). This type of corruption is mutually beneficial for the UFC and for betting lobbies, so it keeps on happening. And it's not just judges that may be involved in corruption, but referees too. I want you to pay attention to how most time a UFC star fights, the same referees are brought, and they favor the star. Take a look, for instance, at Conor vs Khabib, where Conor was grabbing the fence and throwing illegal shots, but the referee was letting it slide. Why is that? In the past, every time a UFC star would fight, I already knew in advance that Herb Dean would be the referee, because he always favors cash cows. And whenever a controversial decision happens, the media (and Dana) tries to take the focus away from corruption and instead talks about "incompetence", as if the possibility of corruption is inexistent, where clearly, this "incompetence" is very consistent with favoring the UFC and betting lobbies. In conclusion, I think that since state commissions play a large role in determining who the judges and referees are, and specific state commissions are known to bring in judges and referees that favor cash cows (Nevada State Athletic Commission), the UFC holds high profile fights in Vegas and other corrupt states because they also benefit from this corruption. I think corruption in judging and refereeing varies from state to state, and from country to country.
