John shares one of his projects where he's removing and replacing a badly damaged jersey crest. Can it be done? Done well? You decide.

Love this type of video! Great work, John. Showcase those skills. Also, Loose Threads is a lovely touch to the title.

Would love more like this, jersey repair/customizing is super interesting and there's not a ton of videos about it.

Definitely would love to see how to do a number customization kit on a blank jersey!

Very cool video. I wish I had any sewing skills at all. I have a couple of older jerseys that could use new crest.

It’s almost a form of art if you think about it

Do a video on how to fix the fabric snags
@uglythirds10 ай бұрын
There isn't much that you can do, unfortunately. Try to pull as much thread back into the fabric as you can, and then trim. It'll never be the same. Shame is, I JUST had this happen to my Reebok Leafs jersey on Monday, but I did my best to repair on the spot and there isn't much to show except for the scar of it now

Can you show how to remove the logo from an authentic?
@uglythirds4 ай бұрын
I don't have one to do that with, but I'd imagine it's the same process but also getting a seam ripper and pulling out all the threads around the outside

@@uglythirds All you buy is replicas?
@uglythirds4 ай бұрын
@@fantasticvoyage262 I never really cared about authentics until the Adidas era, but the couple I have, I have no reason to strip the crest off the front. So I don't have one to do that.

@@uglythirds I used to have a replica. And after finally getting an authentic, I don't have any desire to ever get a replica again. If everything isn't sewn on, I don't want it.
