What "magic tent" are you using? I liked the way the stuff sack zipped up.

Love the peace and quiet of a wood fire... but when it's raining those fuel cubes work.. for a fast cup of warm coffee. Otherwise... I like the Trangia alcohol stoves. Those Pocket Rockets heat water FAST but... too noisy. Lots of trade offs. Good to have a few options. 🔥

It’s a Onetigris tipi, I got one on Amazon for about 80 bucks and it’s actually pretty decent. No bathtub floor and if I remember correctly it’s not ripstop either but all in all I like it and the quality is decent. It might be my go to replacement for my old Mountain Hardware tent. If you’re spending weeks or months in a harsh environment and need a reliable shelter I’d buy a top dollar name brand one but seeing how I tarp, hammock, tent, bivy and roof top tent camp I’ll never wear out my tipi.

I don't mind sleeping in a tent in the rain. But you can have the lightning! I had a bad experience with lightning as a teen.

I love listening to the rain hitting my tent at night, but I hate the anxiety of whether I put away the tent wet or not, after a few hours or after a full day of drying time. And I can't really open it back up at home because of the apartment complex I live in...just no room!! Every tent camper knows that love/hate relationship. So...it is what it is! "Shake it & pack it!"

Your knife cutting towards your hand. . . Scared me shitless. A high risk any place, any time, but out in the woods? I hope your luck holds up brother! Take more care of yourself, don't disable yourself with an avoidable injury. Life is better if you are fully functional. Birdsong, wind and rain hitting the tent, sure makes a better soundtrack than the usual hideous noise you tubers mistake for music when they are ruining their often superb camera work. It's a blessing to have the visuals accompanied by the sounds of the natural world instead of the noise of hyperactive demented ferrets galloping about on an amplified keyboard. Thank you and well done.

Which do you like most: the Tipinova or the Bushcraft Bungalow? If you're having a hard time getting to camp in foul weather, you should come to IN. It's been wave after wave of rain and storms for the past 3 or 4 weeks with no sign of changing soon.

Don't want to appear unkind but your knife skills leave a lot to be desired never push a cutting edge toward an open hand one slip and that's it. Plus your firebox was in my opinion way too close to your tent. Stay safe.

I appreciate the concern but I wasn’t pushing just prying with good knife control and the stove was a step away from the tent vestibule, two steps from the actual tent.
