This product is for 2" receiver accessories. So if your spare tire carrier is a 2' receiver mountable accessory and fits within Yakima's weight limits for this product than I do not see why you couldn't!

Not sure, looks like you can access the back of the truck without even moving it. with it sticking so far out from the back. Why not just put a 24" extention?

Extensions reduce your Hitch capacity by 50%. This is why these new products exist. Extensions are a last resort. The vehicle used to demo this Product may not be the Exact model of vehicle yoou would want this product for.

I wonder if this set up will hold an electric bike. I think they are around 85 pounds.

250 pounds counting your rack. our 2 ebikes are about 70 I take the batteries out and the Hollywood rack is about 50 pounds so I think it can handle this.
