I’m not really convinced with the chemistry of the other women in Uhtreds life (played by other actresses) with Uhtred, but Emily is amazing as Brida, the chemistry is strong with Uhtred. Even the connection that Uhtred has with Abbés Hild is also strong (though not in a physical way).

Just make sure you watch it a few times on Netflix, the more viewers, the most likely it will. I suspect Netflix is waiting to see the numbers. It sounds like there's a big chance it will be, fingers crossed. We are all waiting for news.

I bought the dvd, The 1st serie. But i will watch on Netflix too. The producers, the actors, everybody are really working hard on the show. We can easialy realize that, specially their engagement. They deserve to be very well recognized. For me, the quality and the respect to the the author Bernard Cornwell was preserved, what means a respect to those who read the books. In this point the serie overcame game of thrones. I thanks for this kind of works, a tribute to history and to art. I wrote to Netflix and I asked to renew the serie. I want to watch all Bernard Cornwell s books and if they don t, i and many people will cancel membership. Thank you for the channel. Sorry for my english. I am not checking the correct way to speak and i am not a native speaker.

I totally agree! :) I'm a huge fan of the book and I knew the adaptation wouldn't be 100% due to the constraints of a tv show and even Bernard Cornwell has praised the show for what it is. I personally enjoy the twists and deviations that they've done, it keeps is fresh and exciting, while still maintaining the main story arc and essence of the characters. And the cast and crew have done a magnificent job so far keeping the fans involved in the process, their interactions have been really positive especially on social media and they all genuinely seem to enjoy working together on this, so it makes it even more appealing to watch. I never thought about writing to Netflix, thanks for the idea. I'll do that too! :)

I loved Vikings until they aged Travis/Ragnar and killed him off. He and Katherine/Lagertha WERE the best of Vikings, now it's just mediocre. The Last Kingdom replaced the excellence that WAS Vikings, it has surpassed it in every way. Can't wait for season 4 which is rumored to be April or May 2020. Alexander Dreymon is so hot. Also, Netflix is planning a new Viking series called Valhalla. It takes place 100 years after the original Vikings show. They're doing Leif Erickson, Freydis, Harald Harada and Norman King William the Conqueror. I hope they don't mess it up.

I don't know why it is but when it comes to movies or TV the books are so much better. Is it because the TV ect writers and producers directors think they are better than the Author

You can't really compare books and tv shows, there will always be some aspects lost when you put it to screen. You don't get the details and you can't get into the mind of the characters as in the books. Plus they have budget limitations. I find it easier to watch the show as its own entity and find it more enjoyable this way as you'll always be disappointed if you try to compare.
