0:22 - 1:12 Una should've thought twice before arguing with a thousand year-plus old Lathanite. She could've learned a thing or two from Pelia's life-long experiences.

Looks like the USS Kelvin is mentioned. Wonder what it's Strange new worlds version looks like.

It shouldn’t look too much different or any different at all from what we saw in the 2009 movie. Everything pre-Narada showing up is prime timeline canon.

spoilers* but in the SNW/Lower Decks crossover episode, Pike talks about finally reaching the age past the same age his father died or something, and celebrating with a bottle of whiskey could not help but think that's a reference to Star Trek Beyond. I know it wasn't beloved by a lot among the Trek fanbase, but I love these callbacks to the Kelvin films

Carol Kane is still as much of a drag as she was in Taxi in 1980.

As much as I like this show, I hate that they put Uhura in that "ghetto rag." Uhura is Swahili, they should have had her wear something more culturally appropriate.

@@knytrydr73 How is it ghetto rag? I think the route they went makes sense. Also it’s a sort of dream/vision she’s having, not a flashback so details are usually not remembered.

Maybe what's to you a "ghetto rag" is something she actually wants to wear because she doesn't see it as a rag. But if you want to die on this hill, please feel free to do so. No one asked you to. Especially not Celia Rose Gooding, who made her point that she can wear her hair however she wants to and still be Uhura. She's from New York. She knows what a ghetto is. She has more say on Uhura's representation then any of us.
