UK Arms Ukraine With Anti-Aircraft Starstreak Missiles To Fend Off Putin's 'Murderous' Invasion

The UK has decided to donate Starstreak k surface-to-air missiles to Ukraine to help Kyiv fend off the Russian attack. Starstreak is a close-range anti-aircraft guided-weapon system used to take down enemy helicopters and fighter jets. Ukraine could use the Starstreak missiles to take down Russian fighter jets that fly low to bomb its cities. Starstreak missiles would be deadly for Russian helicopter pilots who fly at a much slower speed than jets.

UK should be careful in announcing what arms they are supplying to the Ukraine as Russia sees this as a proxy war and Russia is mad as hell for adjacent NATO countries. Finally, a fourth system is shown at 5:08. But, it is unclear if it is a more portable, single tube variant of Starstrek.

It weighs about 14kg. The correct shoulder mounted launcher is shown at 1:55. At 3:54 is a system for launching multiple, varying kinds of missile. This would be transported by vehicle and deployed by two people. This video shows a lot of different systems. Starstreak is the missile itself that comprises of three darts and is laser guided. Can be fired from a range of systems.
