I thought eels were good eating. Why’d you let that big guy go? I notice you release a lot of things that I assume many would keep. Could you explain your strategy? Some days it seems like you haven’t left with much of anything, but you let some decent things off.

@@lordtarzan13 John believes in catch and release and only keeps the odd 1 or 2 ....helping to hopefully replenish the stocks, I do the same as I only take what I need and let he others go . Hope this answers your question Shane mate ...tight lines bud and always stay safe
@lordtarzan134 жыл бұрын
Robert Nicholson I can certainly understand that for many of the smaller scenarios, but that was a beautiful eel wasn’t it? Seems like quite a lot of time and money to be out on his days off, away from the family. With a young lad at home. Not to make the most of the catches, if you know what I mean.
@TheFishLocker4 жыл бұрын
Shane A - You don’t need to take everything you catch. That is why the fishing in these areas is better than in most parts of the country. I fish for pleasure and if I catch something special that we really enjoy. Or something will not survive being returned. Then I take it home. Eels are not very good eating.
@robertnicholson85324 жыл бұрын
@@TheFishLocker I also fish for pleasure and it also helps me mentally as I suffer from depression due to my illness .... plus helps with stress relief also caused by my illness . I don't get out half as much as I would like too 😔 as I've been letting my illness take over my life ....but from now on I'm going to take charge and go fishing again and carry on blanking 😂😂😂😂 . Stay Safe bud, Hannah and James also, keep it lit.👍 and tight lines.

Great video as always, Could you do me a favour on a video mate? i practically live in the Cornish water when im down, surfing, snorkelling etc, i've a phobia of sharks, i know there is porbeagle, blue shark, threshers and often mako. Could you explain in your experience what there actually is and maybe have a day trying to catch anything close to the shore? it would make an interesting video. Keep up the great work and videos.

@@brumsgrub8633 its an actual fobia, I used to catch them easily when I lived in Australia. In Cornwall I panic when snorkeling because I always think a sharks behind me 🤣 there has never been a recorded shark attack on the shores of the southern coast to ease your mind

Will that conga ever get rid of that big hook that it spun off ?? Great videos John you always catch a variety of good fish keep it up mate
@TheFishLocker4 жыл бұрын
- Yes it will. The hooks I use degrade quickly in saltwater and they are tough fish.
