Great review and you're right go for the touring option as for an extra £500 you get the full luggage kit. Try getting full factory luggage from the Japanese 4 or BMW for that price.😀

It’s a bargain for £500. I’m sure they would be about £1200 if you bought them separately. It’s so good what Voge and Benelli are doing with the free luggage offers. You would never see BMW doing that.

Thanks. I think this bike is an upgrade on the TRK502x. Probably more comparable with the 702x. You should definitely go and try one. It’s the only way to really know if you want to buy one.

Both really good options. In the UK the voge is roughly £1200 cheaper. But if I was looking for a mid sized adventure bike as my first bike I would probably go for the Benelli TRK 702 it has a little bit more power than both the bikes you mentioned and I’m pretty sure it’s still cheaper than the Honda.

what a value for the money bike and i don't think you mentioned as standard a center stand, usb and 12 volt sockets on the dash console area, spot lamps the only thing i would add apart from myself would be a set of heated grips like the lastest oxford pro,s looking forward to seeing one in the flesh i think late may they should be here . i think the spokes on the tubeless tyres are stainless with alloy rims a lot less to go rusty .

When I’m on screen and walking around the bike I’ve kept it really simple and just used my iPhone. For the riding footage I’ve got my GoPro 11 black attached to my helmet.

Do you know when dealers are getting demos and stock in? Also I've seen quiet a few comments especially for the out going 500 of vibes from around 70mph in top. Do you know what the 525 is like, did you manage to do any 70+ riding? I'm on a Hornet at the moment but want to go for a 500 - 750 ADV for both touring and the fact that roads (especially country ones) are getting so poor that an ordinary road bike is struggling to cope. I'm torn between the Voge and the Benelli TRK702. The TRK is probably a no brainer but it's a reasonable but heavier and being vertically challenged need both the seat height and weight down if possible - any thoughts would be appreciated

I only managed up to 60mph on the day I had it but didn’t have any issues with vibrations. You would be happy with either but If I had to pick between this and the trk702x and I was paying with my own money then it would be the 702 for me. They are both very similar sized but the extra power and better screen on the 702 take it. I believe the standard 702 has a lower seat height compared to the 702x. Might be worth a look

I test ride one of those in late October in France. I had booked my Honda 500X in for a new rear tyre at the Voge dealer where I had ordered my 300 Rally from. When I arrived the owner asked if I would like to test ride the DS500X while he was changing the tyre. I would so I did. The bike had only just been put on trade plates and had less than 10km on the clock. I took it for a run around the local roads and even fitted in a little bit of off road. It was hard to compare the performance against my 500X as I was being gentle with the brand new bike but I really enjoyed riding it. With the level of standard equipment and the low price it should do really well in the marketplace, it certainly deserves to. When I returned to the garage I parked up next to the 500 X and compared the similarities and differences. I then rode the hour’s ride home on the 500X. Will I be swapping the Honda for a DS525X? No. The Honda rides everything I need my bike to do and did feel just that little better to ride. That’s subjective and probably based on familiarity but hats off to Voge for running it close. The Honda is the best touring bike I’ve ever had. It suits me far better than the bigger and more powerful bikes I’ve owned before. That the Voge runs it so close is amazing and I would recommend that anyone considering a light middleweight adventure bike has a good look at one. When everything is taken into account it’s a great buy. I’ve already got one Voge in my collection and although I’m more than happy for now I’ve certainly not ruled out adding a DS525X in the not too distant future.

It’s a nice bike, but I can’t stop comparing it to the bigger Benelli. The TRK 702 is just better in every way and not much more expensive. It’s a very competitive market. Everyone is making these mid sized adventure bikes. It’s brilliant for us. We have lots to choose from.

brill review m8, new sub 👍 I am torn between a Voge DS525X or a DS900x..the thing is, do i trade in my bought new, commuter 2021 8200 miles Himalayan for a 525x or trade in my bought new 2023 1200 miles KTM 390ADV for a 900x? but gotta have a Voge..really good quality bike..my brother has a Voge 300 rally as his commuter and loves it 😁

I bought a 300 rally as well. I absolutely love mine. Difficult one with the part ex’s. The 525x is better than the Himalayan and I’m sure the 900x will be loads better than the 390. Really difficult one because the 525 would make a really good commuter but the 900x will be much better for longer journeys and touring. Which one do you like best?

I know. I’m sure there will be something like a screen protector you could put on that would prevent the reflection. I was on a preproduction bike. Hopefully they will listen and sort that out.

I hear it has a kerb weight of 206kg, which is impressive given its Chinese origins coz weight had always been their Achilles heel. Will it give the Honda NX500 a good run for its money?

They are very good. It’s better than any other 500 adventure bike I’ve tried. I’m not sure about the Honda though. I’ve not tried that. Hopefully I will get a go soon and compare it.

That screen, my god, disaster, nice bike apart from that, CF Moto 800 MT has cameras front and rear, seen a review the other day.

I’ve not tried a CF Moto yet. Thats really good if they are getting cameras. It will help with no fault insurance claims. The screen is such a shame. Pretty much the only thing I had an issue with though.

Not a bad bike for the price point ,but I would prefer they junked all the unnecessary tech & gimmicks , give the punters just standard normal controls , at an even cheaper price . Not into the three box W ⚓️ look ,& they get in the way of filtering ,so wouldn’t bother with metal boxes . I just fit plastic Givi box & strap wet sac soft luggage to the pillion seat ,if more carrying capacity was needed . If I was looking for a 500 size adventure style bike ,I would give it some consideration, providing guaranteed continued parts supply availability . 👍

For a long tour the luggage would be amazing. But for every day riding I agree they are to bulky. Like all new bikes I suppose it depends how well they sell as to how long they stick around.

@@GillyBikes The more they sell the more chance of a continuing parts availability ,& likely to a good aftermarket quality parts & accessory availability . I like to see the decent quality budget bikes selling , & bringing more realistic down to earth prices to the masses . I don’t mind paying extra for better quality ,but the prices the likes of BMW & other similar up market manufacturers now charge, is just frankly taking the pi55 . The more good budget bikes we get to choose from the better . 👍

Totally agree the big names should take note and bring prices down not constantly going up. Once everyone realises how good the cheaper bikes are they will stop paying 4 times more for a BMW

Just an observation but you don't seem to do a full walkaround of the bikes ,noticed it on a few videos , you just leave the camera on the tripod 🙄 your the first person to get this bike and we don't get to see it properly... if your going to review it , let's see it all...
