I bought a vauxhall senitor 3ltr 24 valve Dark green years ago with head gasket gone i put a bottle off head gasket sealer in and ran it for 3 years perfect then sold it its still around .

I personally think it’s only worth having a Range Rover if you can afford a newish one with a warranty..for what it’s worth I would get rid and get back what you can. Respect for the efforts you’ve gone to with it. Good luck 👍👊

Put some cylinder head sealer in got to be worth a try I did it on an vauxhall omega and still going strong 2years a go

My opinion on the jeep is sell as is because it will cost you a fortune on silly parts and other costly stuff Not worth it at all,, Sell it and replace it with couple of fiat 500s ,, can’t blame Greg for being fed up with the jeep because they have a very bad name them wagon’s no good spending your hard earned money on stuff like that,, Glad to see you two working hard as usual god bless Sarah and Greg Have a good weekend,,

Companies are doing rebuilt engines for these at 1300,i think you can drive in (o r tow) at just over 2k now, there's plenty on the Internet, your better of doing that.

Head gasket gone or theys is a crack in the head don't spend any more money on it now till you 100% sure its nackered i would check on line for common faults as im no diesel expert but drive it for a while even if its short journey as you know the normal signs with head gasket greg that fiat needs more than a polish up and to much money that that Woodrow round about just down from the alex allways floods and don't take much i no Redditch really well mate

Range rover was at the auction due to head, oil in water shows heads gone on a diesel, unfortunately you've got no chance in 5 and a half for it, sorry, tbh best way is to continue with it, heads off, crack test. Re the fiat 500 you'd got no chance at 2k on a 64,it would have been 3k with fees, you've got to stop spending as much, if shocks are ok, leave em, same with cam belt, it's great to do everything but unfortunately it leaves you with nothing in it, expecting a 2k gross margin on a cheap car isn't going to happen, unfortunately the car game is a hard one, I've been in it since the late 80s.

Keep away from flash motors in the auctions you need to get more stock not just fiat 5oo .try buying better cars theres more magin in them .think youre gonna struggle to make ends meet .i do enjoy youre blogs though you are very likeable people.i was in the trade for many years till i found something better.i wish you well keep the blogs coming

If genuinely can get money back on RR (spares or repair and trailered away) you should. Considered a BCA account?!though can only go off the pictures. Interior of 208 will need wet vac after the puddle.

In future keep your purchases plain and simple, lumpy stuff is OK for the big boys, your fiat 500 stuff is a good idea, not going to make a fortune but better than loosing 2k.

Those head sealants hardly ever work, particularly on a diesel where there's a lot higher compression, I've tried them a few times, rad seal is OK for a low pressure say radiator leak, but had no luck at all, unfortunately you've been in denial over the RR even saying someone's dropped oil in the water(!) first thing you look for on a diesel is oil in the water, it's either then oil cooler or most likely head, unfortunately you made the classic mistake of being at an auction and buying a lumpy car coz you like them, loads of cars are at auction because of serious faults, loads of traders are purposefully buying faulty cars cheap and putting them in the block, tbh you don't want to be buying diesels, full of faults these days, heads, dpf, turbo, injectors, pumps, egrs, list goes on, I've just had to send a customer 500 quid to put a turbo on a quasgui from 3 mths ago, if it's not one thing on a diesel, it's another.
