As there are no more PLAB seats to book this year, unless you get a cancellation it is likely you will face UKMLA.

The job saturation part is a little controversial. The GMC might say a lot of things but in reality its gotten way harder to find entry level jobs than it used to be some years ago, a part of which can be attributed to the exponential rise in the number of IMGs writing PLAB. Most of my friends who cleared PLAB 2 are yet to find jobs. Not saying it’s impossible or hard to the degree that you shouldn’t write plab. But it’s definitely a reality. If you check the NHS jobs/TRAC website, you will find many, many listed jobs. People are applying to them just fine, but don't confuse lack of success in obtaining a job as lack of jobs/saturation. Please also see: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gYjPmWioo52be5I
