7/16/20. I’ve just been through tax-deadline hell for 6 days, and luckily, by getting 2 new HR Block employees to work on my taxes at 8:45 pm 7/15/20, I got my taxes done and paid for by 9:55pm yesterday, making the deadline! Wow! The incompetence of some current HR Block employees, I guess because of the pandemic, is shocking! For example, the initial receptionist kept telling me I had to come into the office with my documents, because they had no virtual taxes being done over the internet, was simply, not true! I ended up getting all my taxes done virtually, once a couple of guy-employees got involved, who knew what they were doing at HR Block. During this pandemic, I’m trying to avoid going inside buildings, with the exception of grocery shopping, and I didn’t need a receptionist telling me that I needed to come into their building when I didn’t have to when her company offered virtual services, which she was unaware of.
