Yay, thank you! I’m impressed that you stepped into the unknown 👍👍 most uke playing is strumming oriented, but scales, melodies lead playing are great to develop AND will improve all your musical skills. Thanks Betsy

Thanks so much Mike! Check out the course on pentatonic riffs for more like this - zero pressure intended of course www.ukulelezen.com/offers/DaGjzPiM

That little riff was one of the first things someone taught me on the Uke - I learned it and stored it away in my head. Was waiting for one of your lessons to come and teach me how to put some stank on it! Great as usual

Enjoy Brian...what's nice about getting even just one scale or lick totally under your fingers is that it becomes like vocabulary that you can access with ease - and apply to other situations. Bit by bit :). Be well, Stu

Great lesson, I'm a new subscriber and a huge fan of your videos! Could you perhaps make a video exclusively about improvisation?? I really want to jam and do freestyle, but I cannot make it sound good You're awesome Stuart! Thank you again for the videos!

Thanks for watching Mathilde - I'm really glad you're here & enjoying these videos! I do indeed plan to teach more about improvisation - both the practical techniques on how to improvise freely (and over chords) and also the deeper dimensions of improvising as a life path. after all, we're all making it up as we go along, no? Later this year I will be launching my own online course called "Ukulele Zen". The online course will offer great instruction & many other modules in rhythm, melody, chords, effortless technique, soloing/improvsation and many other exciting topics to support your music journey in a holistic and playful way. I look forward to hearing news of this with you! Until then, keep on jamming & I will make more videos for sure :).

Great to hear. All things ebb & flow - glad you feel inspired! It's an awesome riff & tune for sure. If I may humbly suggest, stay with one song for a few days, feel it easier & then learn another. Something about going deep into one riff or tune takes us really far into our music.
