Oh wow - I LOVE this! I just saw a ukulele group playing in Tulsa, and fell in love! My husband bought me a ukulele for my birthday, waiting on it to get here from Bruce Wei, and then hopefully I can learn - thanks for the great videos!

Hey Stu, just picked up your Uke-a-Billy ebook. I doubt I need to encourage folks to go ahead and buy this book but for all the fence sitters.. just do it... NOW. It will improve your playing tremendously. Rock-a-Billy is such a great style to play and of course Stu does a super job of teaching it.

Nice Kala uke there (I love my own glossy Kala). I wonder which model you have. The strings look black. The strap looks attached to the neck. I added strap knobs directly to the body, in usual electric guitar location.

Hey Jeff, this is the ukulele I'm playing: Kala KA-ATP-CTG-CE Cedar Top Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Tenor Ukulele amzn.to/2Gz4SrL I'm using black florocarbon string (LOW G set) made by Freemont. The strap buttons I installed myself. That's my olde tyme guitar strap from...gosh, 1990!

I play Kamaka baritone ukulele and have some difficulty with CGEA tuning in your lessons,what do you suggest?
@UkuleleZen5 жыл бұрын
Sorry Margaret....I don't have any baritone lessons because I only play in GCEA tuning. You could play along w the lessons w your baritone - it'll just be a different key...that's what I would suggest. Again, apologies - I can't make baritone uke videos at this time...

Sweet looking and sounding Kala uke you have there. Looks like a pretty wide fretboard. Is it a straight tenor or super tenor uke?
@UkuleleZen5 жыл бұрын
That Uke is a "straight tenor" - standard size as far as I know...Kala cedar top tenor. :)

Hello Stu, please what are the titles of the songs you treat in this book ? Thank You
@UkuleleZen7 жыл бұрын
I treat Rock n Roll music by Chuck Berry & cover 12 far form, but honestly - this book is not a song book - it's a primary rhythm method for getting strums & boogie lines & single note riffs into your playing... future videos will have more tunes like this Carl Perkins to demo the techniques... Hope this helps...cheers, Stu

I take it you're a martial artist? Wonderful. Qigong is my thing. Thanks for watching...you have the same Kala...my cedar top sounds great with the black fluorocarbon strings from Fremont. (Freemont) Check em out...they may improve you axe's tone - if you like a Low G...they make Hi G too. Cheers & plz subscribe! Be well, Stu

Ukulele Zen Yes sir, 30yrs studying and 15yrs owning and operating an Ed Parker's Kenpo school. Had to close it a few years ago due to a less than moral spouse, but, it is what it is :) None the less... my Kala is a cedar top slot-head without the cut away and electeonics, but I did insist on having it strung with a low G. Really enjoy the tone and feel... a fantastic Ukulele. Consider me subscribed :)

Great to hear of your years of dedicated study - though not of your spouse... I see - didn't realize there were non cutaway models...cool. They do make this medial very nicely indeed...good tone :) Thanks for subscribing! Glad to have you here.
