What cert do I need to sell electronics in a given country... say Japan or Australia or China... Personally I'm just a hobbyist who will probably never need that info, but I'm still curious and would watch a video about it to the end.

great video, if my cables are CE rated and installed in a Canadian facility, do they also need to be further UL rated?

How about products that are autonomous in nature, vehicle, space, or other. what standards would this entail? Cars electrical saftey.

That space is certainly expanding quickly and the specific certifications required will depend on the use case. As you mentioned, it's not just self-driving cars, though they still get the bulk of the attention. UL has an extensive list of related certifications and provides a training and advisory service specifically for it: www.ul.com/services/autonomous-vehicle-safety-training-and-advisory OnLogic customers use our hardware for a range of autonomous solutions including warehousing robots, delivery devices and agricultural equipment. The certification and testing needs all vary for both the hardware and the solution.

Hi I’ve gotten an air fryer for my business from overseas, do I have to apply for UL and do they come and check out the product or I have to bring it to their labs to get tested? Please give me a reply 🙏🙏🙏 thank you!!

Thank you for the question. Product manufacturers are the ones that apply for and receive UL certification, not consumers. You'll want to check with the manufacturer to determine if the product has undergone safety certification.

what about NSF? people want to know how ETL got started and is seemly replacing nsf approvals and companies pay more for approvals don't they ? less is ETL and NSF more, better or worse? for a restaurant. alot of companies today in china make everything and they only are putting ETL on not nsf and some like Vevor don't have NSF approvals but still use the word commercial to make u think it's passing the standards, when it's cheaper, cheaply being made and sold more of and excluding the little merchants who cannot compete to sell their goods, when they are being uncut with no good name brands out there, in todays market. companies are passing off lesser quality products and selling them cheaper. no health inspector is looking or checking and customers don't know the difference, alot of them have no training on cooking or cleaning and they don't know what to look for to buy the right item for their place. china is getting rich from their goods, making 1 product and then 10 different tags on that for different lesser quality name brands from 1 creation-slightly different.. all comes from china now days. home products, home appliances do not last long, even commercial ones are breaking down with 290 in them-flammable liquid propane. Even NSF today isn't good quality frankly, beacuse alot of parts that go into it don't come from usa, they change their whole production for cheaply made metals and compressors and nsf isn't meaning much now days, all the big name brands will be swallowed up in the next 25 years.
