The OG KSP taught me orbital mechanics without me realizing it *AND THEN* got me to dig out my college calculus books so I could optimize routes to Duna etc. If KSP had been a thing when I was growing up I would totally be a rocket scientist instead of a mushroom scientist!

this would've been the case before the new update, the game runs significantly smoother now. it's still buggy as shit and has more clutter on the ui than an average teens desk but now it actually runs pretty well. source: played it myself

PLEASE make more things like this if you have the time. also congrats on For Science! it’s an absolutely amazing update and you’ve met your mission of allowing the game to speak for itself. i’ve been following the project since day one but i’ve only been playing ksp1 even after release because there’s just more to do in that one and it has better performance and such. but after this update i’m gonna transition over to ksp2. it’s finally a really good game and it’s finally showing off all the hard work you’ve been putting in these past few years. i can’t wait for more updates in the future. I noticed that all of their workstations in mission control (at 4:08) were running (or at least appeared to be running) Linux. That sure looks like a GDM login screen. So... I must ask... When can we expect a Linux build? More meaning within your feature roadmap, so sometime around colonies? Interstellar? ... Multiplayer? I don't do Windows anymore (and neither should any of you!), so without a Linux build, I'm KSP2 deficient!

Technically, it /IS/ a thing, it's just not visible in the stock game. Mods get you access to the data, and my kOS launch scripts make use of it to effectively throttle down for max Q.

Can't wait for the Vulcan to launch... Such a gorgeous rocket. I own KSP 1 and 2, only played 2 on my 3070 though. Needs a new AIO bc it overheats everytime I run KSP 1 or 2 now, so been playing modded KSP 1 on my 1660 Super system, which runs it (125 mods installed) perfectly damn near. Curious if KSP 2 would run on this system while I wait for payday and a new AIO. Has the performance of KSP 2 been upgraded w/this update or same as last? The 3070 runs KSP 2 beautifully, but not sure about the 1660 Super.
