Ultear was such a great character and the way she went out was beautifully done by Hiro Mashima. Her sacrifice in order to save everyone, redeem her soul, and make her mother proud was executed very well. I was sad when she didn't realize that 1 minute saved everyone. It's because of her everyone is alive and it wasn't some plot armor either since we have known about that ability for a very long time. Excellent one of the better moments where something was costly. There are more but no spoilers.

There are still a lot more surprises in the future arcs. Tartaros arc, fairy tail zero, final series. I wouldn't really feel happy if you go on with fairy tail reactions without any time lag. He has written a story clearly aimed at young adults and late teens but his writing style is so childish that it turns a lot of people off. The concept of Fairy Tail is fantastic and a lot of the characters are really likeable. But his delivery of the story, to a lot of people is so irritating that they don't wanna watch/read. Then there are of course people who hate just to troll or because its popular to hate it lol but its still doing well enough in Japan at least that its still going lol he's still writing the manga and I've no doubt that will become an anime as well.
