the Cafe Beignet, inside Legends Park on Bourbon st. is the best place to eat. Cafe Beignet is much better than du Monde. Everyday.

Commanders Palace is a must for us every time! I can't say enough about the service and staff. For looking so upscale, they are surprisingly very accommodating and welcoming of children. We went with our three year old and they actually pulled out a separate kids menu that is not on the website. They even made several kids in the restaurant a special bubblegum mocktail with a floating rubber duck. It is the ultimate way to end your New Orleans trip! Also...get the milk punch.

He also just reads the menu he doesn't really provide much subjective input. "it definitely has a different flavor than the gumbo" yeah no shit dude it's a completely different dish Definitely don't trust his opinion on southern foods.

New Orleans local. Commanders Palace is the shit. It is a bit fancy so wear a button up, but other than that, just have a good time. You don't have to go here to get good food though, lots of hole in the wall places will surprise you. Get out there and check it out, go have an adventure.

MRB (not to be confused with Mr B’s) and Mr Ed’s offer the best char grilled oysters I’ve found in the French Quarter. They both have unique specialty oysters to try. You’ll be much happier than with the overcooked ones at acme.

I live in New Orleans.. it's my birthday on the 28th of May. My best friends are in town from Oklahoma and San Jose. They don't know what they're in for. But I know I want my charbroiled oysters/ fresh French bread couple jumbo shrimp on the side and a glass of Merlot...❤❤ You know I could do dis anytime, I live the uptown side by the Caesars Superdome. It's just more fun with people not from cherr.😂😂..how bout you invite me on one of your eatin' escapades, or I could bring you wit to a crawfish boil🎉🎉🎉

Emeril Lagase, the famous chef and restaurateur, known for his spin on French creole and Cajun cooking and cooking gourmet "haute"- (that rhymes with "boat") cuisine on The Food Network, got his start at Commander's Palace and worked there for 8 years in the 1980s. Also the other most famous restaurant in New Orleans has to be Brennan's (whose owners , Dick and Ella Brennan, also own Commander's Palace). You haven't had the most exquisite tasting eggs it is possible to have until you've experienced "breakfast at Brennan's" and you've had " Eggs Houssarde" made with Hollandaise AND a special red wine mushroom herb sauce called Marchand de Vin (sauce). Also if I were you, I would have wanted to visit Emeril Lagasse's restaurants in New Orleans " Emeril's" or "NOLA". They both have such innovative mouth watering sounding items on their menus.

Thanks for visiting our city. There's a few inaccuracies that I would like to correct for you and your viewers: The majority of New Orleans food is CREOLE, not Cajun. Po Boys are CREOLE not Cajun and they are a NEW ORLEANS thing, not Louisiana. Yes, that is important. Beignets are NEW ORLEANS also, not Louisiana. We would never eat etoufee or gumbo from Acme lol Sorry but it's not how locals cook other than their oysters. Thank you so so much for pronouncing Pecans correctly. It's really earbleeding to hear so many people say PEE-Can 😂😂😂

@debbiemann2752 Casamento's was great haven't been there in a while, Frankie and Johnny's was really good. Superior Oysters was my favorite. It could've been that I was at their happy hour and fairly intoxicated.

@@cardinalj I don’t know if Casamento’s is open outside of Oyster season, but that’s the old school hole in the wall place with a lot of style. They’re more known for raw oysters and fried oyster loafs. Franky and Johnny’s used to be very good for raw oyster prices, but they stop selling completely during Covid, and I believe they now only sell oysters on the weekends. But they have very good chargrilled as well.
@colinsoileau50332 ай бұрын
ACME oyster house is the only place worth trying in New Orleans. New Orleans food is very very overhyped. If you want real Cajun creole food, New Orleans isn’t the place to go.
