I have the Nexus Pro Bar and it is amazing, you can hit all areas of the chest if you have the band resting around lower back are between 30-45 degree angle you can do incline for upper chest, you can also do decline for lower chest if even stand but have the band close to your upper back and press down

I started my band training with X3, but quickly bought some Clench gear. I’m a very tall guy and their bar just works better for me. Sometimes when doing chest I use both bars to get different angles. I also use the Clench base as the larger size and anchor points just work better. Of course, for bicep work the X3 base is fine. I guess what I most about Clench is that it’s easier to get new bands, etc. If I started over I’d go with Clench from the start.

you can do it with any bar, but you have to hold the band with gloved hands. Also, one leg forward really concentrates the chest. You have great vids for bands.

I like that you could use with bands and weights at ends of bar. That is an incredible 400 pound band . You look quite strong. Can you squat or deadlift with it or do you just do truck pulls with it 😊. You make great equipment and videos. I love the band assisted db pullover you showed. Great exercise. I used to love the original blue Nautilus pullover first generation with chains and plate loaded. Most gyms dont have any kind of Pullover. I am lucky But your setup made me feel better because I did not have to give up the upper body squat as Arthur Jones called it when the machine was lacking

The Nexus Pro Bar offers a ton of versatility by accommodating both bands and free weights! It is rated to 200 lbs of free weight and up to 1000 lbs of band resistance, so it is perfect for deadlifts, squats, rows and so much more! We appreciate your feedback and thank you for watching!

The decline bench press with the nexus bar is waaaay safer on the shoulder joints then decline dumbbell presses and decline barbell presses. Excellent piece of equipment, really makes you feel more manly doing resistance band workouts

Much more comfortable than chest press with X3 bar, greater pump, and It's also easier to adjust it on your back. I use grey band which provides good tension for me, and because grey band is wide, it doesn't cause discomfort on your back

Is it possible to use weights with the band with the nexus bar doing the bench press on a bench? It seems you would need a spotter to help get the bar off of you when done with your set, right?
@ClenchFitness7 ай бұрын
Adding free weights to this bench press configuration with the band wrapped around your back would be quite difficult to get in and out of, even with a spotter. If you want to use bands and free weights for a bench press I would recommend setting it up with one band on each side anchored down to the floor (not wrapped around your back) so that you can get in and out easily with the help of a spotter or a rack or both.

How do/can we determine how much resistance/"weight" we are "benching" if we use this type of setup? For instance if we use the Clench Fitness Blue 90-230 lbs band? Or if we want to replicate a 225 lbs bench press, would we just need to use a 41" loop style band with a high end resistance range of 225 lbs since when doubled (or gripping both ends of a Band we use the higher resistance range number as you once mentioned on another video)?
@ClenchFitness7 ай бұрын
Great question! We have a chart that illustrates the resistance levels of our bands as the band is stretched. This will help you get a good idea of how much resistance you're using for any given exercise. To get to the chart just use the link below and click the blue text that says "Resistance Levels Chart" at the top of the page. I hope that helps! clenchfitness.com/collections/resistance-bands/products/resistance-bands?variant=19925134114889

The only thing I would caution with this press is the long term effect it will have on your spine and back...if you are doing anything with significant resistance. Common sense tells us that it CANNOT BE GOOD. It doesn't make sense. Period. You are better off having the bands connected to a DIY footplate or any footplate really and have the legs of the bench resting on the footplate...it works CRAZY good. (and no putting stress and pressure on your spine and upper back). Just basing this from my experience. That Nexus bar is amazing buy the way!

well, when you bench with weights most of the load goes through your upper back into the bench under thé bar... the main différence with the band is to keep a good shoulder stability is harder

That giant carbineer needs to be available solo. Modify it or something and start selling it.
@ClenchFitness7 ай бұрын
Why? How should we modify it?
@RTB_12347 ай бұрын
@@ClenchFitness Just like a carbineer? I use gym handles and 5" carbineers with my loop bands. The top portion of these regular carbineers fit nicely into the gym handle rings. Having these Clench carbineers modified to be able to use on the gym handle rings would be amazing because those plastic *Clench* resistance band handles are not that great for going extremely heavy. 5" regular carbineers are good, but this Clench carbineer is straight and flat and wide enough for the biggest bands. Doesn't look like the Clench carbineer would need much modifying. Maybe make the part that is on the bar small enough to be compatible with any regular gym handle rings. Snap on to the metal ring part of the gym handles. Easy. Just my opinion. You all got engineers and all 😂 It would probably compete with the Harambe handles, but at least these could be universal with any gym handle.
