Barry is truly Mr. Random Capable. Sometimes he's just on it and it all works, but sometimes he doesn't have it and it all goes wrong.... but you never know which Barry you're going to get because he's always confident until it's gone pear shaped.

I love how much this series is underlining your guys friendship. In this episode everything is going well for barry and jamie/mike are jokingly competing against him, while still wanting their friend to succeed. In the last epsiode mike was unhappy with his result and the others really tried to cheer him up. It is very wholesome. Love it!

I know I’ve said this on other episodes, but while Mike pushes the limit on traditional foods and Jamie is great with meat, Barry goes all in on going outside the box. I really admire his courage. Barry may suffer through more miserable failures than the others, but when it works, it’s brilliant. If someone on this channel is going to invent a new, innovative dish for the 21st century, I’d put money on Barry even before Ebbers.

Everyone's so shocked Barry did well, but I think he said the key at 12:35 : I think he does well when he actually plans on paper ahead of time lol, and he takes time to think it through, rather than the first idea that comes to mind when he sees random stuff in the kitchen. He also did good this time playing to his strengths while not sacrificing creativity.

I love hearing stories like this because obviously it’s an absolute tragedy that you’re forced to escape your home to survive but when life is drowned in darkness and despair there’s something, like Sorted videos, that bring a bit of light and let you escape reality and forget what’s occurring! I hope things worked out in one form or other and you found safe refuge somewhere and the whole world is praying that the current chaos comes to an end sooner rather than later

1:30 is how I feel when I cook on the sidekick app. It says it’ll take 25 minutes, but it takes me 7.5 minutes to cut come things and zest a couple lemons. The times on sidekick don’t reflect the prep time very well for the average home cook. I still use it because it reduces my decision fatigue and the food is good

The good news is, with things like prep over time you'll get faster with the practice! I cut my time by not caring so much if they are perfectly the same size. Or you could get a chopper device if you just can't be arsed!

He's his own worst enemy sometimes but he really came out swinging for himself today. I'd very happily eat all three dishes.

I saw a great hack the other day for halving a quantity cherry tomatoes: put a plate upside down, put the tomatoes on the inner 'ring' and place another place the same size on top, right way up. Gently press down whilst cutting the tomatoes with a large knife. Ebbers probably already knows that one but it impressed me. 🙃 It all looks delicious. I'd give it full marks. 👍 I don't envy Jamie at all! 😇

Pul Biber ( Bhi- berr) : chili flakes. Pul means tiny flakes, biber is pepper ;) When you have red onion next to shish kebap, a classic companion is red onion seasoned and massaged with sumak and salt, especially next to roasted tomatoes.

Simplest way I can think of to say this, Simply Baz-tastic! But it stands to reason why it worked so well. He didn’t over think his preparations, just focused on riffing with the ingredients. It’s that muscle memory that afforded him the ability to multitask, stay calm, and come in under time twice! It’s a big reason why I focus on learning new techniques in the kitchen, then repeat them till they’re second nature, rather than focusing on recipes and ingredients. Very well done…

Barry did fantastic. You can really see his vision and how clever he planned to use each ingredient. It would be interesting to compare the nutritional values of all the dishes in the end to see if they went down or stayed constant.

Barry impressed me. The amount of effort and planning he's done and how well he stayed on point and even adapted is great. I did feel bad for Mike in his go but unfortunately, he dropped the ball. Jaime can pull some miracles out of nowhere and that's what it's gonna take it seems after Barry's performance. Will be re-watching all 3 again for a refresher when Jaime's comes out. You guys could do a Super Cut as a extra video after.
