Barry is truly Mr. Random Capable. Sometimes he's just on it and it all works, but sometimes he doesn't have it and it all goes wrong.... but you never know which Barry you're going to get because he's always confident until it's gone pear shaped.

I love how much this series is underlining your guys friendship. In this episode everything is going well for barry and jamie/mike are jokingly competing against him, while still wanting their friend to succeed. In the last epsiode mike was unhappy with his result and the others really tried to cheer him up. It is very wholesome. Love it!

Barry truly embodied the "home cook adapting in a pinch" vibe this episode. "oh no, I have an extra tortilla. What do I do?" As if it couldn't just be put away for use another time. Barry rose to Ben's bait and turned it into a fantastic crumb! Once again, I really do want to see a follow up to this series on smart shopping techniques.

I know I’ve said this on other episodes, but while Mike pushes the limit on traditional foods and Jamie is great with meat, Barry goes all in on going outside the box. I really admire his courage. Barry may suffer through more miserable failures than the others, but when it works, it’s brilliant. If someone on this channel is going to invent a new, innovative dish for the 21st century, I’d put money on Barry even before Ebbers.

Everyone's so shocked Barry did well, but I think he said the key at 12:35 : I think he does well when he actually plans on paper ahead of time lol, and he takes time to think it through, rather than the first idea that comes to mind when he sees random stuff in the kitchen. He also did good this time playing to his strengths while not sacrificing creativity.

1:30 is how I feel when I cook on the sidekick app. It says it’ll take 25 minutes, but it takes me 7.5 minutes to cut come things and zest a couple lemons. The times on sidekick don’t reflect the prep time very well for the average home cook. I still use it because it reduces my decision fatigue and the food is good
@sshishegar

I saw a great hack the other day for halving a quantity cherry tomatoes: put a plate upside down, put the tomatoes on the inner 'ring' and place another place the same size on top, right way up. Gently press down whilst cutting the tomatoes with a large knife. Ebbers probably already knows that one but it impressed me. 🙃 It all looks delicious. I'd give it full marks. 👍 I don't envy Jamie at all! 😇

Simplest way I can think of to say this, Simply Baz-tastic! But it stands to reason why it worked so well. He didn’t over think his preparations, just focused on riffing with the ingredients. It’s that muscle memory that afforded him the ability to multitask, stay calm, and come in under time twice! It’s a big reason why I focus on learning new techniques in the kitchen, then repeat them till they’re second nature, rather than focusing on recipes and ingredients. Very well done…

All three of Barry's dishes look delicious and meals I would love to eat. It was nice to see Barry calm and in control for a change 😊

Barry is such a wildcard, and he's knocked it out of the park with this one, well and truly! Yes. Just yes - to all of it!!

Barry did fantastic. You can really see his vision and how clever he planned to use each ingredient. It would be interesting to compare the nutritional values of all the dishes in the end to see if they went down or stayed constant.

Barry impressed me. The amount of effort and planning he's done and how well he stayed on point and even adapted is great. I did feel bad for Mike in his go but unfortunately, he dropped the ball. Jaime can pull some miracles out of nowhere and that's what it's gonna take it seems after Barry's performance. Will be re-watching all 3 again for a refresher when Jaime's comes out. You guys could do a Super Cut as a extra video after.

Actually Ben, the turkish eggs recipes I've seen all used poached eggs laid on a bed of garlicky yogurt with chilli butter on top. Haven't seen any with fried eggs.

Actually really love all of these dishes. I can actually see myself making them. Nothing is too out the ordinary ingredient wise either!
