So I figured out my sound issues. I had video but no sound. One you have to download: Game capture from el gatos website. I have an HD 60S+ so it uses the 4k capture utility. When you download the game capture it comes with the sound capture. So then you can go in and set it up also if you’re using logitech G hub you will have to delete it from your gaming PC. It will cause a lot of chatter and you will not be able to use your headset because the logitech is trying to feed to the sound capture at a different/ un recognize able freq. I had to call el gatos help desk to get it figured out.

Nice video, doing this soon. Just a quick question for the mic. You said to plug it into the streaming pc , but how would your teammates in game hear you?

Solid question. If you use your headsets as a mic for your stream you’ll need to go out a buy a usb mic to plug in instead for the audio.

@@okBLU I've been doing research and I think if you keep your mic and headset connected to your gaming pc then use voicemeter banana to route the sound back to your streaming pc you should be able to use the mic and headset for ingame as well

Question my audio is about a second behind from what I hear, compared to when it outputs on the streaming PC. How do I fix this?

If the hd60 doesn’t have anything plugged into the “out” section…. Where is the game displayed?? I only have one hdmi.

The hdmi will be in your gaming pc. The usb will be in your streaming pc. When you get on obs on the GAMING Pc you will right click the the preview and select Full screen projector and pc the hd60. if you only have 1 hdmi for everything you’ll have to get another one to connect a monitor to the gaming pc

Will it work with an older version like the HD60? Cause I know this is considered the “legacy edition” and is usb 2.0 so will this cause problems?

I’m not sure about that. I only tried with the HD60S. I don’t see why not though. I can imagine the quality being different but that’s it.

Every time I go to the game my so gato goes black and when I alt tab it comes back and I can see outside of the game did I do something wrong

Are you using a second hdmi to display the pc on screen?

I use display port for my Monitors. I think that’s what you’re asking.

I am doing everything exactly as described. I have a display port going from my gaming pc to my main monitor. I have the usb type cable going from my elgato hd60s to my streaming pc to a usb 3 port. Then i try to hook the hdmi from the in part of the elgato beside the usb c slot to my gaming pc. As soon as I hook the hdmi from the elgato in to any of the hdmi ports on my gaming pc from my graphics card it shuts off shows a screen but won’t let me do anything. Just shows 1 my wallpaper or 2 black and no port detected. Anyone else run into this?

It sounds like you have everything hooked up correctly. I would just check to see if the elgato is up to date. Sorry it’s not working for touy

If you still need it I had the same problem but I had to go to nvidia control panel and make display 1 and 2 together and it worked and solved it

That’s weird. Maybe try reinstalling sound capture or going to advanced settings and manually select where you want to sound to go

my streaming PC is not receiving sound from the el gato even with sound capture on stream PC I am using streamlabs obs, I have it setup video capture device, and it doesn't receive sound... any idea why? gaming PC is running Sound capture

So you have video but no sound? If you haven’t already go to the advanced settings in sound capture and make sure hd60 is selected

I’m having the same issue currently, any update? Also I can’t find the sound capture app any longer. If I send sound to my laptop I can’t hear it out my head set it’s one or the other.

You’d have the elgato be the default and in the sound capture app you can select where the audio in the advanced settings goes.

i have a 1080p 280hz monitor does it cap your refresh rate to 60hz? or can you still run the high refresh rate while using this setup?

It’ll only cap it to 60hz going to the streaming computer. Your gaming monitor is unaffected. Also I’m very jealous of your monitor!

Don't run it through your monitor, plug it into another output and set that to match your main screen.

I run my discord through my gaming since it picks up everything from my gaming pc. For Spotify you could use what ever one. Personally, I use my streaming pc for my iTunes so I don’t hear the music.

but plugging in the mic into the streaming pc and not the gaming pc how does discord pick up the mic if its on the streaming pc? and the gaming pc is running discord?

@@AchilliesVl I use headsets for Game audio and discord. It still goes through the elgato for your audience to hear.
