I like how dinosaurs leaving the island and entering the main land has happened no less than 3 times in this franchise and it is literally never the main plot

To be fair, they needed some time to escape to the outside world, and be noticed. Those 40 ish dinosaurs that escaped weren't the only dinosaurs that escaped in the entire franchise, after all.

The first movie worked because of how closed off the setting was. It was simple and it was great. But the others go way to hard on the spectacle and trying to be big. Not helped out by the not interesting characters and dozens of questions one can make and any movie outside of the first one is dead on arrival.

I said this in the Jurassic Park 3 pitch meeting comments; but the Spinosaurus didn't "Sneak Up" on the humans when they were at the fence, the reason they went to the fence in the first place is because they were lead there by the ringing phone, which the Spino had swallowed... Therefore, the Spino was standing there the entire time and they didn't notice.

Oh wow, thank you for this. Poorly written things get really funny really fast when you piece together the logical order of how things *must* have played out… if given factual info. And this is an awesome example. Facts: The phone is in the Dino. The phone ringing brought them to each other. Ground never shakes. So.. Something that logically now has to be true: The Spino was standing completely still for an extended period of time, and the characters do not see it, even though it’s humongous and like 200 ft away and they’re in a flat, treeless meadow, with nothing blocking Spino from their line of sight

These were ordered perfectly. "Yeah, after how the whole Jurassic Park concept goes in this movie, there's not much potential for sequels." "SO, you have a Jurassic Park SEQUEL for me?" "Yes sir, I do!" And seeing the change in performance from the Fallen Kingdom Pitch Meeting (where Screenwriter Guy and Producer Guy were still being developed) to the Dominion Pitch Meeting (where they had both become full-on over-the-top wackos) was marvelous!

They are fun to watch to see dinosaurs brought to life (something like watching an animal documentary). At least DP1 and DW1 (I didn't watch DP2&3 or DW3 and in DW2 dinos have so little screen time that it doesn't make sense to waste time on it). But the scripts for them are absolutely terrible - even in case of DP1, which is considered a good movie.

I love Ryan's comedy... despite how I want to just punch the characters he plays in the face for so many reasons, the most petty because they are (for some reason) just so punch-in-the-face-able. Oh, and that both characters in every pitch meeting is so ABSOLUTELY perfect. The insane script guy selling his crappy script to the greedy producer, comedy parody gold.

You know, now I think that we need another set of Jurassic Park movies, but they contain many scenes of dinosaurs talking to the main characters in their dreams. That'd be a hella trippy time.
@Nanorobotic
@Nanorobotic Жыл бұрын
I kind of want to see that now. And then the dinos are psychic because life finds a way. "You can speak into my dreams?" "Yeah we've actually been trying for decades to talk to you but it turns out translating across species that existed in totally different times is pretty difficult." "Why do you keep eating us?" "Mostly to stop the screaming. You do look really delicious though." "Anything we can do to change that?" "Not really." "....so uh.... Why did you want to talk so bad?" "Oh shit, right, I forgot. There's another meteor coming."
