I like how dinosaurs leaving the island and entering the main land has happened no less than 3 times in this franchise and it is literally never the main plot

To be fair, they needed some time to escape to the outside world, and be noticed. Those 40 ish dinosaurs that escaped weren't the only dinosaurs that escaped in the entire franchise, after all.

@@milesbismarck You can see in a number of the earlier skits he is quite wooden. He is far more animated in newer skits. These aren't negative attacks on Ryan. You have to get into the groove of your project, you learn what works and what doesn't, and that can only be achieved by doing it. I think he has created a brilliant sketch.

The first movie worked because of how closed off the setting was. It was simple and it was great. But the others go way to hard on the spectacle and trying to be big. Not helped out by the not interesting characters and dozens of questions one can make and any movie outside of the first one is dead on arrival.

I said this in the Jurassic Park 3 pitch meeting comments; but the Spinosaurus didn't "Sneak Up" on the humans when they were at the fence, the reason they went to the fence in the first place is because they were lead there by the ringing phone, which the Spino had swallowed... Therefore, the Spino was standing there the entire time and they didn't notice.

Oh wow, thank you for this. Poorly written things get really funny really fast when you piece together the logical order of how things *must* have played out… if given factual info. And this is an awesome example. Facts: The phone is in the Dino. The phone ringing brought them to each other. Ground never shakes. So.. Something that logically now has to be true: The Spino was standing completely still for an extended period of time, and the characters do not see it, even though it’s humongous and like 200 ft away and they’re in a flat, treeless meadow, with nothing blocking Spino from their line of sight

15:32 The one thing that the screen writer guy got right was that the Spino wouldn’t eat the T-Rex because predators rarely eat each other, but the spino would have probably gone after food that is less hard to catch, so he was simultaneously right and wrong.
@gregorylagrange

But predators still don't eat each other even when they kill another predator. So it's not really up to whether an animal is less hard to catch. Predators don't eat competitors for food usually. Really can't think of one that does. Except for ants. Hyenas will feed off of dead elephants. But they're constantly at war with lions and will kill each other if they can, but haven't heard of any feeding off the other.

Honestly, the most realistic thing about this entire franchise is the fact that the military would want to use dinosaurs in war.

Point to make, particularly for the book: is Hammond wanting to be there for every birth so that they don't attack him? And being there for the tours based on his need to be thought of as special, and so he wanted to make sure everyone always knows who is responsible for this miracle?

You know, now I think that we need another set of Jurassic Park movies, but they contain many scenes of dinosaurs talking to the main characters in their dreams. That'd be a hella trippy time.
@Nanorobotic
@Nanorobotic 6 ай бұрын
I kind of want to see that now. And then the dinos are psychic because life finds a way. "You can speak into my dreams?" "Yeah we've actually been trying for decades to talk to you but it turns out translating across species that existed in totally different times is pretty difficult." "Why do you keep eating us?" "Mostly to stop the screaming. You do look really delicious though." "Anything we can do to change that?" "Not really." "....so uh.... Why did you want to talk so bad?" "Oh shit, right, I forgot. There's another meteor coming."

I became an absolute FAN of the original Michael Chricton novel, and LOVED the first movie... And then if you disconnect certain parts of your brain, ignore specific things, forget certain moments and turn a blind eye at some character desisions, then you have a good time with Jurassic Park/World
