Beautiful! Red Velvet is my favorite cake. And you made it the authentic way…RED! Lots of bakeries put so much chocolate powder in their batter that the cake looks like a chocolate cake with a little bit of a red cast to it. They take away the red in their RED Velvet cake! And that’s just wrong. Thank you for this excellent recipe and solid demonstration. I am Subscribed!

He is real. This 👨🍳 chef projects the nostalgia and simplicity of baking that the old generation fostered. He makes me long for the older day, mom baking in the kitchen.

How much salt and baking soda
@kimberlyrivers31727 ай бұрын
Looks great! I do have a question. I noticed you did not begin and end with flour. Is there a specific reason for this?
@rhondanegrete71537 ай бұрын
You should sift flour first then measure it. Otherwise you get to much flour which makes the cake dense and tough.
@madalyncorkins65585 ай бұрын
How much baking soda and salt are you using, please.

That cake looks fabulous ❗😎🤙✨ I must ask, do you ever put pecans in your cream cheese icing❓If so, how many pecans do you add❓
@EverythingSweetbyCharles8 ай бұрын
Occasionally I do a half a cup to a cup chopped it just really depends on how much icing you're making

Thank you for sharing this recipe, I love watching your creations. I actually made this red velvet cake and I took up a notch and decorated using your technique. The cake was gorgeous, the only problem during transport; the cake started to crack in the middle and eventually sank and completely fell apart. I gave the cake plenty enough time to cool. That never happened before. I want to know how I can avoid that from happening in the future?
@EverythingSweetbyCharles9 ай бұрын
You can put it in the freezer before you go ahead transport it and that will help stabilize it some

Back in the old days granny used some kind of icing I think some kind of oil and pecans have you ever heard of this?
@suzannesellers73837 ай бұрын
These folks correcting the Chefs technique would not last long in a professional kitchen. I’m sure this Chef would be gracious if “corrected”, but most Executive pastry chefs aren’t known for graciously accepting correction.

Gm Chef, you let your cake batter beat too long and it causes gluten to set in and your cakes will become to tough to eat

He makes me wanna start cooking more. I’m 35 he reminds me of when my great uncle’s used to cater and I used to taste test☺️
