He was a first round talent however they could not get over the his size. 17 years from now, he will enter the NFL HoF. Watching the Wilson's senior year looks a lot like the current Seahawks. Power run + Deep ball.

He may have only played for one year for Wisconsin but he will be the new benchmark that every subsequent Wisconsin quarterback will be measured against. I watched damn near every game he played that year. Couldn’t believe how good he was. I just knew he was gonna be good in the NFL. Saw how he played in the preseason as a backup, and that convinced me even more.

He has great mobility and uses it as an alternative and has the pocket presence to make the throws with accuracy and the thing that really blows me away is his SUPERB decision making to run to throw and who to throw to having full awareness of the field. I did not pay much attention to college fball in 2011-2012 but watching his tape and rg3 college tape....there is no comparison. Wilson was running a pro style offense in college while going through progressions, playing from the pocket. RG3 was playing gimmick style football. I get why teams passed on wilson bc of height but he was playing the game the right way back then and it still baffles me how he fell this far. Had I saw watched college football around that time, I would have banged the table and shouted for this guy to get drafted at 1.2 behind Luck. Even I am not that stupid to see how good this guy was had I seen this earlier, but shocked at how scouts and GMs let this guy fall to round 3.

im on record sayin i like wilson more then rg3 midway through the season, so i think i am on pace when you consider that he was almost unanimously mocked togo around rounds 6, 7 or even undrafted this guy shows again&again he can succesfully set up a pass-defense even in short goalline situations and get a first or score with nice throws catching five, six, whole defenses on the wrong foot watching him act in the pocket that is art right there i like his game more then andy dalton last year

I've been saying this guy will play in the NFL since his freshman season at NC State. All around better quarterback than Andrew Luck and RG3. He is definitely a 1st round pick. As an NC State fan, I never missed watching or listening to one game when he played. For Wisconsin I saw every one but two games. He is an all-around good kid and deserves to be in the pros. Russell Wilson is the real deal. He was arguably the best QB in college football last year. If he was 6'2 or taller, he would for sure have gone in the 1st round. His height shouldn't be a concern anyway since he's so good. Drew Brees is just an inch taller than Wilson and he's arguably the best QB in the NFL. I'm not saying Wilson is the next Brees, but I can see him being a starter and an all pro caliber QB.
