The Canadian must be slower than the US model. The US model travels to 60 in 4.3 seconds and does the quarter mile in 12.4. I live in Georgia so it could be the climate as well. The Tesla was the smaller sedan dual motor.

The motor sounded like it was struggling to get up to hwy speeds, the transmission was lazy af, the interior was blah with sub par technology. It was the meh'est of mehs. Traded for a BMW 340 and can honestly never really consider Lexus again.

Well it wouldn’t make sense putting such a powerful engine in a fwd car. It would have to be awd and with that motor it would make the ES very expensive which if not what this car is built for. I had a GS350 F sport before I got the ES and it faired much better against F10 535i/540i and V6 E clssses. GS350 was released in 2011 as a 2012 model so it was pretty quick back then. The IS350 was even quicker.

You could give it 100hp more and it would lose every time because of FWD. When you acceleration weight transfers to the rear wheels meaning less down force on the front wheels to aid with traction while accelerating. That is why FWD cars are capped to around 300hp or so. A 400hp FWD ES would just smoke its tires through the first 3 gears. The German competitors here have sophisticated AWD and turbo engines which helps give them excellent 0-60 times even though at the finish line they aren't going any crazy speeds.

This is the quietest drag race I have ever heard. So sad. Back in the day e450 would be an equivalent of E500 or E550 with its rumbling V8. My e39 540i V8 even stock sounded awesome inside and out. These v6/i6 turbo motors are so quiet. Nice video though,I have an ES350 as a daily. I knew it was cooked right away,it can barely keep up with the entry model variants of the E class and and 5 series (530i and e350). That car isn’t made for drag racing,the 302hp is deceiving. Don’t expect anything like a GS350 that was discountied unfortunately,that’s why I got the ES smh

It’s why we ditched the 2020 Merc E350 and switched to a Lexus ES350. I was tired of calling the dealer every 4 weeks for electrical issues. $500 every month in diagnostic fees out of warranty. The Lexus can go 20 years on basic maintenance alone.
