And wow I want to go to Kapiolani Seafood and have the black bean oysters and the egg bun! So much food that sparked my interest but cant remember because you guys tried so many things. I remember watching your episode on the Seafood Cartel and thinking it gave off vibes that I was in Mexico and Costa Rica and that's exactly how it felt. Please check out the Kapiolani Seafood Restaurant. It's my 3rd time going there because it's decently priced and the food is really good. The black bun with custard was my favorite on this whole tour. And funny thing..is that with the Booty Patrol.. it was a family that came back to it. We loved all the dishes we tried when we went but missed out on the crab from being full from everything else. We've never heard of the Da Crawfish & Crabshack but they had so much variety of eats to pick from and not just seafood. Adding them to our never ending list....good thing the rest of the spots are already on our list so the list isn't too out of control just yet 🤣( nah it's already LONG but a good problem to have). We feel so bad for you Sean that you're missing out on the shellfish but happy that Nhi is enjoying it to the fullest for you!! Wow! My wife and I watched this video yesterday and had to try Yi Xin Cafe today! It did not disappoint! We had the Salted Duck Egg Yolk Chicken Wings, the HK Style Stir Fried Garlic Prawns and the Pork Cheeks with Green Beans (needed to add some veggies). We didnt do the Dungeness Crab, I have a hard time justifying $72 for a single crab, no matter how delicious it looked! Anyway, everything was Excellent! So glad we tried it... Gonna have to go back to try out some of the other dishes as Plate Lunches. Also definitely wanna try the Oyster at Kapiolani Seafood Restaurant and the food at Da Seafood Cartel!

I love your videos, my husband and I always agree it shows a more authentic side of Hawaii that most tourists don't bother to venture out to find because it's totally mired by the amount of marketing performance surrounding that same tourism industry... real Hawaii is so much better than all that even if there's mroe bugs than most people have ever dealt with in their lives. lol You should do an Okazuya tour sometime and explain to viewers what that specific type of establishment is. Whenever I stay on Hawaii I live off food from Kum Yos when I don't cook at home! Also not really an Okazuya but I eat my weight in mochi from Two Ladies whenever I'm in town, it'd be so swell to see you and your wife do a tour of their kitchen and tell about their history! Oh! I'd also love to hear the history of Hawaiis monarchy as told in your unique loc al perspective! There's not NEARLY enoug hinformation about the Hawaiian royals and it's an extremely important, if not sad by it's end, part of american history that is very downplayed and should absolutely not be!

Im.not too much of an expert but we did just eat Mochi at the Two Ladies in Hilo and we loved it. One day I will do a special on Hawaiian History. Great video Nhi & Sean! Everything looked onolicious! The ice teddy bear tea is so cute! Have you guys experienced afternoon tea on the island? There's a lot of places. It is pricey for what you get but it's an experience and it's relaxing. Best one so far I've been to is Veranda at Moana Surfrider. Great view, ambiance, service & food. Going to try Dean & DeLuca afternoon tea at Ritz-Carlton next. Bought one of the Hawaiian Travelers shirt and hope I'll get it in time to wear it next month when I visit Oahu. Keep up the good work!

It was one of the most expensive items on the menu back in the day. Can't even count how many times I had Peking Duck at restaurants before I was even 15 years old.
