This just killed many companies that sell on the idea of no latency or DSP hardware. This is so much easier than the options I was considering. I almost bought the Antelope interfaces for their DSP (effects) and considered the Apollo, too (which I do not like). I own an Apogee Symphony interface, and this is exactly what I needed for my system!!!!!!! This has been an issue since 1998 for me! hahaha Why aren't more people talking about this? For singers, this is phenomenal. Singers want a little reverb and no latency! I guess it has been around for a bit, but for some reason, people mostly use it in live gigs. For studio recording, this is amazing. I wonder if companies like Antelope, RME, and UA got the idea from Waves or Waves got it from them?m🤔 Dude, thank you so much for this. I have watched your other videos, but this one made me subscribe! lol 💪 Waves, here I come.

How are you able to have a different buffer size in your DAW than what is in SuperRack? For example, you said you have 1024 in your DAW, but 64 in Waves SuperRack. My interface (RME Babyface Pro) only lets me set one buffer size for the whole interface. Maybe I'm missing a step? Also, props for the solution... the way I have been using this is to have 2 audio interfaces connected to the computer with one interface physically connected to the other. That way it's one interface for Waves SuperRack and another interface for my DAW. I would much rather use just one interface if I can get around the buffer issue.

Hiii Fady! Thank you so much for this video, it really open a new world to me😮 If I can, I have a question. I’ve an Orion 32 and for example I have a mic that goes in a preamp to input 1 of my orion. Then I open Superrack performer, select input 1, fill in some plugins and then select output 1 from superrack. How can I record the wet signal in to my daw? Have I to route the output 1 into another input of my Orion with Control Panel?
@casade283111 ай бұрын
Could you possibly stay a bit more on this super rack performer subject and latency-related issues? Would it be too much to ask you if you could demonstrate this concept using Protool's headphone mix or Studio One's cue mix WITHOUT using Orion's console routing? I think this would be a good series for you and many of us.

Could you explain a bit more on what you mean?
@casade283111 ай бұрын
@@fadygergis Unless I am confused about how to use the SuperRack Performer plugin, I think you could create short videos replicating what you did while routing to Antelope's Control Panel Software. Instead, replicate the process for headphone monitoring in Protools while using your interface but NO Control Panel Software. The same as if you were using any other interface that provides no Control Panel Software. Basically, you can show us how to use SuperRack Performer with, i.e., Studio One and a Focusrite interface or Protools with any other interface that doesn't have Control Panel Software like your Orion. I hope I am thinking of the correct way in which the SuperRack Performer can be used. I found your channel while watching Andrew Masters, and your episode has been the most helpful. I like your gear more than anyone else's. Since that episode, I think you acquired the Orion interface. Respectfully, the one thing that is missing from your channel is that you need to identify your core audience. I feel, and again, respectfully believe that you are too good "for your own good" and miss the point of what a lot of us need or want to watch. You will get the point soon, as I can see you are on the right path to a massive channel. Give us high-quality stuff like you do, but explain it as if we were total beginners. A series on this SuperRack Performer concept can be a good idea. Of course, I still have to watch your other videos, and my comments only represent the few I have watched. Thank you

Great video thanks! Quick question - you mentioned tracking drums.. the issue I've ran into is that SuperRack doesn't allow for me to route different inputs to the same stereo output. It seems it also doesn't give me the option to create busses. I want to monitor a submix of all the drum mics through one stereo output. Is there some workaround for this? Short of having a dedicated output for each drum kit mic it seems this zero latency hack wouldn't work for tracking in this instance.
@fadygergis4 ай бұрын
I personally haven’t used it with busses. So I can’t speak into this part.

@@fadygergisyes. But maybe I have to update Superrack. I have another question: you mention that it’s also possible to record thru Superrack. How do you do that? I have an apollo x8 and the only way I’ve found is via the Virtual Channel. Is it correct or there are other ways? Thank you so much!
@huberttorzewskiАй бұрын
It's no different than monitoring through DAW with an empty project or disabled plugins and low buffer. It's no zero latency monitoring and it will be really dependent on what interface you're using. Still DSP solutions work much better and are faster/easier also

Hey Fady this just saved me from the rabbit hole I've been in for a long long while and I simply can't thank you enough. I have a question though and it pertains to your workstation. Well. I didn't really click when I learned that waved had a "live" sound effects solution running on a laptop but it should have been obvious to all of us.... ITS LIVE....there can be no latency or there is no product. Wonder how long it will be before daws work out how to do this? Thank you so much Fady for letting this cat out of the bag.
@fadygergis9 ай бұрын
It would be very hard for DAWs to replicate this!
@MaakBow9 ай бұрын
@@fadygergis why? Isn't it just software?
@fadygergis9 ай бұрын
@MaakBow when you take recording out of the equation it simplifies the CPU load significantly. Which helps with tuning plugins and very low buffer size without any CPU issue. DAWs has a lot more to process CPU wise which makes it so hard to run small buffer size with a big session and still maintain reasonable CPU

I don’t understand how that is even possible?! Could I use this in a live setting? Like could I process my vocals using your method, and then route the wet signal into Ableton for looping? I just don’t understand how it doesn’t take up much CPU, when inside of Ableton it would be red lining 😅
@fadygergis11 ай бұрын
You mean a live setting like front of house mixing ?
@samuelallenmusic11 ай бұрын
Kind of. If the Superack plugin,Ableton Live, and Audio interface run on the same computer, and I have a guitar coming into my interface, can I then run it through superrack and back to the interface, and then into Ableton for looping? I do live house music, so just trying to figure out if I should do processing using superrack instead of doing it in Ableton Live, if it’s going to chew up less CPU
@fadygergis11 ай бұрын
@samuelallenmusic you should try and see! Because super rack isn’t a full daw and doesn’t have a lot of the other features a normal Daw would have it’s much lighter on your CPU
