You should find some good quality LED light strips and mount them on the Bimini top to light up the deck at night. That was the only negative i noticed in the dark.

Just run a few power sockets maybe cigarette lighter sockets to the four corners of the boat. Then rig yourself 4 aluminum poles with a nice LED floodlights on the top, Maybe put a dimmer or an on off switch on the polls which you would then slide into a socket tube bolted onto the railing. Plug the wiring in to the 12 V socket And you’ve got stadium lighting. Now you got a party going. Cheers.

Great looking build! 2 suggestions, first shorten the front legs on the bimini top 1 notch. The fabric should be tight not flopping around. Second dont back the trailer in so far when loading the toon. Try to have the front half of the bunks out of the water. That way you can drive up to it slowly and get 1 of the keels in between the bunks and slowly pivot the boat straight and drive it right up no matter how much wind or current.

Zach, the cup holders beside the fire pit do not require wires to the floor. LEDs take very little power, so a couple of batteries below the table to will do. You will have to switch them on at the table or use a remote control if you do want to switch them from your central location.

I just put 8 AA batteries together and that powered my 12v LED string lights for 12 hours or longer. I also used a single Prius Battery cell that is around 8-9 volts and it powered my lights even longer and is rechargeable. The boat looks great, good job!

Hi! Cool build. some advice on the sacrificial anodes: DON'T PAINT THE ANODES! :) "The sacrificial anodes will protect the metal from corrosion in areas where the paint has pinholes or damages. The zinc anodes must remain bare, since a coat of paint on them would destroy their protective effect. They must also be electrical connected to through the paint onto the metal."

Great Job 👍 As far as the captains chair goes, what I did years ago to get my captains chair back more was I went to the muffler shop and I had them put a nice bend in the exhaust pipe for my chair. Yes I used new exhaust pipe. You will have to weld a plate on both ends for the chair and to anchor it to the floor of the boat. So try using a new piece of exhaust pipping !!! 👍👍👍

Looks amazing, as a lifetime boater may I suggest one thing. You should add about 8-10 feet of chain to the anchor. From anchor to rope. 2 reasons. Keeps the nylon rope from wearing away by rubbing on the bottom of the sea/lake floor as the boat swings. Second, because the chain is heavy, it holds the rode to the bottom so the pull on the anchor is horizontal, which reduces the chances of your anchor unsetting.

Put that box on the fuel tank at home so that it isn't in the sun when it's not out on the water. Also get a Stainless Steel Anchor Swivel Connector, using a carabiner isn't very safe to much risk of it coming off if it drags over a snag when you are setting the anchor. I agree with all the comments saying uou should make the fire pit table "coffee table" height. Those decals look fire on that donk! Great looking build mate🤟🏿

Great job, congrats. Don't paint the gas tank black in the sun it will cook your gas. Get lots of rope and some fenders for docking. The fenders take up space but you'll need them. Also, get a pole, you can mount it on the side, when you need it you'll need it. Think of everything that can go wrong and try to have a solution ready. No time to think when stuff is going wrong, believe me, I've been boating for a long time and you'll be amazed at some of the stuff that happens. Great job enjoy it!!

Be very careful when you have people at the bar. If a large boat comes close and parallel at speed the waves will make one pontoon go way up but the other pontoon will go way down. I learned that just the other day. Luckily we were all sitting down.

I binged this entire build from start to finish. I love what you did with everything. The lighting and bar setup is awesome, but you should look into making a swivel seat that has a smaller hydraulic post, that way people can adjust them in height but they can be folded in to save space. Either way this whole build was badass and you have some great creativity! Keep it up!!

Totally freakin awesome man. Amazing that you did all the work it took to convert the boat. Super impressed. Just a thought.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE- Install a Rail Mounted Grill on the Pontoon🙏🙏🙏🙏 The ones that hang off the side over the water! That would really complete the boat a little more for sure! Great looking build! Well done. I am not sure your lake situation and not to tell you something you may already know but legally speaking, when under way or at anchor the only lights allowed are you red/green and all around white. Any other light is considered a dock light and only allowed while docked. Its a sure way to get an inspection by coast guard or marine patrol etc.

Ahoy Zack, Great job, you are quite the craftsman. I appreciate your use of wood at the helm as homage to maritime heritage. One suggestion, it appears you have attached your anchor rode (line) directly to the anchor. SOP is to have a length of chain between the line and the anchor. It will make it much easier to set the anchor and protect the line from chafe on rocks or coral. You can buy a ready made six foot length with shackles at most marine supply stores. Looking forward to your next project and wishing you Smooth Sailing!

LOL. I believe I mentioned in an earlier episode to NOT let the rookies drive the boat. Certainly not around docks, wait until you get out into the open body of water and give them a lesson. I was selling my parents bass boat a few months ago. Two potential buyers said they knew how to drive a boat. Both crashed the boat into the dock, one broke the trolling motor and the other put a huge scuff in the gelcoat. Neither purchased the boat although one did pay for the trolling motor. I spent over an hour sanding and buffing the huge scuff in the gelcoat. The pontoon boat looks dang good and I had no doubt it would float just fine. After watching the part with the fire pit and the young men and the breeze, I strongly, strongly suggest you heed my warning in an earlier episode about the fire pit. Looks cool though.

Most def add some solar lights or maybe even some battery lights on post to go around your deck. The one dollar solar light you can get at wally world would be good enough and you can put them on conduit pipes up above the seating. (For a party, try to find some chinese lantern covers to go over them - made of plastic - it would look good.)

This is the way to go. I've priced out pontoons and the only way it will ever happen is just buying the cheapest one and restoring it.
