Love the reviews and knowledge of equipment i didn't know existed or why I need it.

At around 12:15 you stated that the 550C is a great reloader for progressive reloading that "helps your budget a little bit". I beg to differ, especially after watching one of your videos and you realize that you "must have" all of those new fangled gadgets that Gavin has. My wife appreciates that. Thanks again Gavin. LOL. Seriously, thanks again Gavin for keeping us up tp date on new developments in the industry. Great vidoe.

will you ever do a 6.8 western build?

Soooo what's the point of the carbide if you still have to lube the brass??
@thatguyoverthere22883 ай бұрын
Longer life and less finicky with the lube.
@joearledge13 ай бұрын
@@thatguyoverthere2288 if it has nothing to do with the neck and shoulder(which is why you still have to lube) then it's not effective at extending the life of the die in a production capacity, because that area of the die does the most work...

For the cost of the dies ($320), you can get 1000 rounds of loaded ammo in a lot of those calibers listed.
@joearledge13 ай бұрын
Lol you clearly haven't shopped for ammo in a while, for the cheapest on that list, you're still $100 short, + tax and shipping. The market for this die set would be small manufacturing.

Please point out where. I just ordered 400 rounds of 300bo for around 290 with shipping from PSA.

@@AaronWilbers 300blk is what got me into reloading. Once you start reloading you can cut that price per round in half if you collect cases from a range.

Hi Gavin, You announced, about 7 weeks ago, that “F Class John” would be a new contributor to your KZbin channel. Sorry, but I have not seen any of his content on your channel. Maybe I have missed it, sorry if I did. Is “F class John” still a contributing member of your team? Also, I miss viewing Guy’s videos. He’s a great content creator because I can relate to him. I enjoy his honesty and non-affiliated opinions relative to hunting and paper target shooting.

Since when is stainless steel tougher than steel? What type of steel are we comparing?
@ericokurowski3 ай бұрын
It's pretty basic that Stainless is easier to machine that 4140 and 4150 barrels, I'd like to see an answer....

It they offered the dies without the M-die for those of us that won't be using it because there is no place for it on the 550 and simular presses I would replace my dies I have been using.

Love your channel and info. Have you ever used a Hornady Lock and Load AP press? I use Hornady, Lyman and RCBS dies.

Hello new subscriber here. Might be off topic for this video but I've been watching a few of your videos since you came over my KZbin feed. Great show and I really enjoy your videos especially because I need some really good advice. I've been shooting black powder for years. Recently acquired a new Army revolver that's never been shot and a brand new Howell conversion cylinder for it. I'm going to start reloading for the first time with the Lee hand press. What is your best recommendation for a powder and charge for this pistol thanks.

I have been looking at these for a couple of months but I cant get myself to pull the proverbial trigger on the $400 cost. I have already stretched my .223 bolt out to 1500 yards with standard dies but my consistency could be tighter. I just need to sock away my spare nickles.

I will be buying lyman pro dies for my mark 7 apex 10. One question, what bullet feeder you think will work best for my press?

I wish Lyman would make Factory Crimp Dies in their pro stainless steal line or that Lee would start making their Factory Crimp Dies in stainless steal. Shame no one makes 100% top of the line dies! So for now I will stick with Lee's Factory Crimp Dies as the way they crimp is far superior to any other's.
