I had to hang a shelf on brick this week. . I did something similar to the brick when putting in the anchors into the brick. I vacuumed the holes with the house vacuum and used computer duster to blow them out. I then put in a shot of construction adhesive before tapping in the anchor and screws..

Followed your anchoring adhesive instructions and it’s worked great. However you may want to caution that when drilling the concrete you may run into too hard to drill substances in the concrete slab. So be ready to find drillable areas, and that could be a challenge. Once you find the right area the anchor adhesive works great.

cool video... I know you said the "Swizzle" sticks are one and done, but what is the best way to store the tube for next time? leave the stick on? remove stick and close cap? I never have much success saving tubes for the next use... they usually dry up.
@MichaelBuilds
@MichaelBuilds 2 жыл бұрын
In this case it’s best to take the swizzle stick off otherwise you won’t be able to get it off. You can put the cap back on but it won’t matter in the end because the two components will not dry until they mix.

You want to use this stuff or some kind of epoxy anchor rather than wedge anchors or anchor bolts that you just drive in when you want it to last for years n years. Wedge and drive in anchor bolts wiggle loose after a while. The concrete turns to dust around them with vibration

I was wondering if I can anchor my metal frame pergola gazebo on to the concrete patio with Lag Bolts (too many in my workshop) using LePage PL construction adhesive. I believe once the PL adhesive sets in between the concrete and bolt threads, it ain’t going anywhere. What do you suggest?
@kuntakentay6969
@kuntakentay6969 2 жыл бұрын
Why use lag bolts? Just use threaded rod so you have the option of removing/ moving it later. Using lag bolt doesn’t give you the option for removal and you also have no way of tightening it down in case a lag bolt floats upwards a little while setting.

Very good, thank you for sharing with us! Only back side of the video when you talking to thin air and not facing to the camera is so distractive! Looks like you are talking to a wall. Please avoid this in the future, look very bad. When you do work, or demonstrate you can film yourself sideways if you need to. But film yourself sideways while talk is very silly. I have no idea why people do that. Looks very stupid. Communication is better when you facing towards the camera and talking to teh audiance and you not talking sideways to nobody. It is loosing connection with the listener. I like your humor and the close to the hole explanation is very clear and connective with the watcher. Thank you for the info, good video apart from this recording mistake
