Some things I learned from this about myself: 1. I realized that I am more impressive in a group than one on one. And this has been eating me up lately. 2. I really do, deep down, want to be ordinary. And yet, that is the scariest idea: to just let go of my ambition. 3. We all want to suppress shame by doing. 4. Integrating to 6: I need to recover a respect for tradition and ritual.

The point about being more impressive in a group really hit home, but I can’t quite figure out why. I can stand on stage and be charismatic, so why do I come away from a one-on-one feeling like I didn’t give as much of myself, or give the other person what they wanted? Hopefully I’ll come to understand what that is..

I feel you. I now understand why I picked up the book Ordinary by Michael Horton. "By learning to embrace the ordinary, you will find contentment and a sustainable faith in the hidden and humble places."

Throughout my life I tested from 7w8, to 8w7, to finally 3w4 now that I've settled down quite a bit in older age so I can personally attest to a strong kinship among 7s/8s/& 3s lol lots and lots of overlap
@SoFine1634 ай бұрын
I always thought i was 7w8 but then i realized its just my personality because im an ENTP and not my true core/drive/fear which is type 3 i want to be the most social , charming, funny ä, energetic and adventorus because i want to be the best and admired not just because of my own wants its a need to impress. Its so importsnt to me that i matter to others.

Lmao, at first I wanted to discredit this completely. I was instructed to take the official Enneagram full personality test by my job at the time. Decided I'd go back and REALLY look at my results. I tested as a type 3. After watching a few videos including this one, I completely dismissed the idea of a "type 3" solely because of all the comments on these videos saying "That's so me." or "Literally me." I think I was worried I was just falling into a rabbit hole of astrology-esque pseudoscience. Said all this to say, I think it's telling of my faults that I dismiss the idea entirely because I see others acknowledging their own type. Or in other words, I'm type 3 enough that I didn't even want to acknowledge it on the basis that I'm not unique or special. I'm competitively viewing my own personality type. Christ lol. Sorry to all you who have do deal with us. Yikes.

Relentless, obsessive about destroying whatever reminds them of their own shortcomings and failures. Psychopathic behavior. Generally corresponds to the Narcissistic Personality Disorder.
