@@dummydummer6169 because making the player go into melee range to recover HP is just good game design when you want them to play aggressively. you also don't need to do a *melee* attack just to recover health; any blood splatter will heal you, and some of the most powerful weapons will produce copius amounts of it the rest of it takes a lot more inspiration from spectacle fighters (the style meter in particular), and other boomer shooters where freedom of movement and skill-based gameplay is paramount, which is also where doom eternal gets most of its game design from

I'd have to agree, coming back and rewatching this video after sinking at least 100 hours in the game. Marksman with the secret revolver is stupidly powerful if you can hit the coins consistently enough. I think they can even reflect Railgun shots, but I've yet to confirm that.

Malicious face was a problem for me in the cyber grind for a bit. I went into the sandbox and experimented a bit and found out he's extremely weak to the shotgun Now it only takes an almost fully pumped shotgun shot and a punch with the knuckleblaster and it's shockwave to kill You can kill them super quickly with the right combination of weapons

“So apparently I’m in hell.” Gonna be the lore person who points out that Prelude is actually not *in* Hell but a resource-extraction facility that Humanity built directly *outside* of Hell. 0-5 (the last level of Prelude) is the gates, “Abandon hope, all ye who enter” and all! So when V1’s boot-up sequence says “approaching hell,” it doesn’t mean that V1 is approaching Hell during the sequence, and arrives once the 0-1 begins, but rather that moving through levels 0-1 to 0-5 in Prelude is the approaching process. Without spoiling too much, after beating 0-5, things start to look *really* different, and that’s when things really get fun.
