I'm also a big ultralight guy. I've been ultralight fishing for the last 7 years or so and for the last 3 of those, fly fishing has been my passion. The fight is just so fun on a flyrod. And of course I went ultralight with that as well. I fish my 1wt, 2wt and 3 wt rods mostly. Line weights that most fly fisherman never even touch or realize exist. Most fly fisherman only go down to 4 wts, haha. They don't know what they're missing. I recommend getting something like the 2wt CGR fiberglass rod from cabel's/bass pro. Tons of fun.

@Brunnen_Gee Жыл бұрын
@@paulmajor5585 MO. 12 inches isn't all that abnormal for these guys, or sunfish in general. Remember, black bass, like largemouth, smallmouth, and such, are all sunfish as well.

I went up to Cabela's and got me some Mr twister nymphs, they are 1.25 inch and have different colors. My favorite is brown and orange. I like to use a gold trout magnet jig head with them. They are great for trout, panfish, crappies, perch, pickerel, smallmouth and largemouth bass. And you can use them in any lakes, creeks, streams, canals and even Rivers. I think you should buy a pack or two and give them a try just might like them. Another great video This is 👍👍👍👍👍

I am also terrible at checking my line. Got into a couple little toothy critters couple weeks ago, never checked the line, and my jig head broke off, just going over a log. It gave enough pressure to break the 4lb test I had on.
@FishAnything3 жыл бұрын
Yeah I usually forget to but this line seems to be even more brittle so I think it is important I start. This is Maxima monofilament. Seems nice but definitely not as tough as my trilene.

Have you ever considered wading with a small inflatable tube to hold your gear? I have considered modifying a small float tube to drag along with me but haven't decided on a full blueprint yet.

Man I could tell you had an awesome time with your buddies fishing. You was definitely catching them fishes. Fall is definitely here and I agree with you that water is definitely cold. But I'm glad you was able to get out for a little bit and have some fun with your buddies fishing. I went fishing last weekend and I was catching some fish. I had a big bass & I just happened to look down to my right of the kayak and there was a snake less than a foot away from the kayak that your poison. You want to talk about a 300-pound man fighting a snake on a kayak. At the fighting for about 2 minutes I was able to pick the snake up with the paddle and throw it as far away from me. I lost the bass fish that was on my lines because of that. After I calm down from my heart attack I realize that I broke both of my flip flop. On my left foot the left side strap came right out of the flop & on the right foot the whole complete strap came out of the flop. I was mad then. I broke the only Footwear that I can wear. I had to go the rest of the day barefooted 👣. My kids were with me and they were just laughing. & to make it even worse I had to take my kids to Walmart and had a rude customer laugh at me. He came down the row we was in he walked by slowly staring down at my feet. When he got to the next row over he yelled out loud in the store those are some super wide feet & some very fat wide toe you got fat man. I just said thank you. My son said to me dad you know he was making fun of your wide feet and toes. How to say I know son I don't want to start something in Walmart when I shouldn't be in here barefooted 👣. That really bothers me having a bad day on the water. I cannot help it that I am a fat chubby dude with very extremely wide feet with fat chubby wide toe that are straight across. All five of my son have very wide feet and they were wearing flip flops & he did not say anything to them about their wide feet. Good video I thought I'd share my fishing day with you.

We had a blast! Sorry to hear about that crazy experience Mack! Dang ol' snake next to the boat would have freaked me out too!!! And don't worry about that little doofus in Walmart. His opinion doesn't matter buddy. Hope you get out there and catch a hog soon :)
@mackjenkins77213 жыл бұрын
@@FishAnything thank you man it was a crazy experience. Me and snakes are not friends at all. That's what my wife is saying about that doofus. A lot of people make comments about my wide feet but this one really really bug me for some reason. But my wife said she loves my fat chubby wide toes & that's all that counts. I appreciate that buddy next time will be better.
