ULURU and THE OLGAS - Max's Bucket List & camping in the overflow.

The Rock is one of those Aussie destinations that most people have on their Bucket List and for Max, it's been on there since we did our first lap in a Kombi back in 2009. At the time we did the calculations and couldn't afford the fuel to get there and now in 2022, we finally got there! Experiencing it with Zuri and at the stage we are at now in life was awesome, but there were certainly some challenging times! In our true go with the flow style, we didn't book anything so we winged the whole experience, we free camped the night before and then ended up in the overflow at Uluru. This place is full of activities, we had a ball riding around Uluru and the Olgas were just magnificent!!

We spent 2 months with our then 2 year old backpacking through Singapore, Malaysia and Sumatra. Great conversation starter with the locals and other travellers. Little kids are fabulous if a bit difficult at times. One of our great adventures. Our 2 year old is now 42! She’s still fabulous!

He gave me a book called , believe it or not " How to keep your VW alive for the complete idiot". Awesome book with 3 levels of mechanical ability . The BIBLE for these vehicles. Awesome video guys. Loved your perspective of Uluru and the Olgas. I was lucky enough to climb Uluru back in '85 when I was 21 and we had none of the BS passes back then. The accommodation also wasn't as theatrical as it is now. I have enjoyed watching your journeys and wish you all the best.

What an adventure. A tip I would recommend is get a paint marker and mark all the bolts and nuts when they are tight. That way it becomes easy to spot if anything has or is coming loose under the rig.

Haha it’s over years and years of driving / building VW’s I have figured out how to diagnose noises and rattles by process of elimination… the old push the back has the noise stoped .. if yes then that’s the issue if no then try next step haha … as for the frozen pork even I don’t know my secret for that one hahah

The shaky cam takes away from the experience a little. I love the coverage of the outback you are showing though don't get me wrong, i had a Kombi (71) and a game i was working on that is basically taking a kombi through the outback so your content will give me plenty of reference material, living the good life enjoy (and use video stabilizing if possible) what camera gear do you use btw?
