Woodson should have been #1. Not taking anything away from Howard but Michigan not only wouldn't have beaten Ohio State without Woodson's punt return, they likely wouldn't have been in the running for the national championship that year either

They left out the one where Anthony Carter scoops a bouncing ball of a Notre Dame player's helmet and shoulders, and runs it all the way, in one of the first night games at Notre Dame. Michigan lost that game, but it was one of the most weird plays you will ever see. And Desmond's happened right in front of me, but everybody jumped up, and blocked my video camera. But after that Ohio State game that day, they introduced over a Crisler, some guys the FAB FIVE, GO BLUE!
