I think the most shocking thing about this video, for me, is the fact that winners receive a plastic surgery prize?! Like WHAT?? This beautiful woman just got massively famous for looking exactly the way she does, and now she's expected to go change it surgically?? The expectations for women are so out of control.
@CHloE7482 жыл бұрын
Everyone makes a big deal about the worst reality show ever created, The Swan (I think that’s the name) it was a game show type thing where women went through so much plastic surgery they look like completely different people (that doesn’t sound that bad, but if you look it up it’s BAD and most of the women who went on the show had their lives ruined, including husbands leaving them and crap). Now this was a while ago, I think 2000’s and it was canceled after one season, which makes sense. You would think something like that would never happen nowadays, but hearing that one of the prizes for basically being crowned as the most beautiful woman in the US is PLASTIC SURGERY… it’s just absolutely disgusting and shows society hasn’t changed much..
@lauralarrabee7870 Жыл бұрын
The main sponsor is a plastic surgeon and gets a higher profile when sponsoring. What is a conflict of interest is that he’s worked on R’Bonney and is also the Texas state sponsor. R’Bonneys question was leading almost as if it was made for her platform. Miss Montana also said it’s in their contract that the director can place their favorite in the top 16 despite their scores. Miss Montana as an attorney needs to learn to read her contract better

I was in a pageant many years back within the USA system. I got 1st runner up. After the event the head judge (who had a ton of experience) asked to talk to me privately. He wanted me to know that he felt strongly that I should have won but that he was dealing with rookie judges who essentially didn’t know what they were doing as well as a pageant director who basically rigged the whole thing for the winner due in part to the fact that she had entered so many times but never won. He wasn’t the only person that night who told me I should have won. I think crap like that happens more often than people realize!

Same happened with me when entered a cosplay competition. Someone else won but afterwards one of the judges came to me saying that they wanted me to win because my cosplay was definitely the best. Others clarified this was due to covid, but I also want to add that in my experience with pageantry they strongly advise you to be gracious and even if you hate the winner you congratulate her. It reflects negatively on you to be a poor sport. Most girls in pageantry at this level have had some coaching in etiquette and it's just not a good look to snub the winner. This is a huge, widely broadcasted pageant so the fact they felt so strongly about their dissatisfaction that they didn't even care how it looked, they all clearly had mentally prepared to walk off (and I wouldn't be surprised if they discussed it with each other beforehand if they suspected rigging.) It's a clear message. AND the winner didn't even seem surprised when nobody was staying to congratulate her.

I knew R'Bonney in high school. Or rather... had a few encounters with her; met her through a mutual friend at church. At that time she was such kind, personable, outgoing girl. Always had a smile on her face and friendly with other people. Never once did she come across petty or like one with questionable character. I could care less about pagents but once I saw that she won Ms. Universe, I was like NO WAY! I've never known of another R'Bonney Gabriel in my entire life, and it looked like a more grown up version of her from high school, so I knew it had to be her. So now I'm very invested into this story despite my lack of caring for these kinds of things. It's interesting and juicy and now I wish I could reach out to her as a friend and be like, "Honestly, what's this hullaballoo about?!"

Hi Kiki love your channel but what you said about it being suspicious that she had only been in pageantry for 2 years and that normally people are in it for years and years is incorrect. I did Miss Canada and the girl who won, it was her 1st pageant. I also know of about 20-30 other titleholders around the world that won after being in pageantry a few years or even on their first try and there are definitely more. It’s super common for newcomers to win or place high up because they have good pageant coaching. Hope that clears at least that part up.

Companies do this all the time for multiple people to have the footage “just in case” to be ready if someone wins… just like how in hockey they print merch for both teams saying they won. BUT I could be wrong about this particular winner this time. However I know someone that went to Miss USA a few years ago and I can indeed say there is some sussyness happening there.

yeah but if that was true why was miss montana at 15:16 and miss georgia 21:35 miss alaska 22:32 ALL surprised by how quick the winner was to show off her prizes and be on the vacation trip? if every girl got to film that why would the other contestants act so surprised, like they didnt film it either? also the fact miss texas was the only one filming it by herself in private while the other girls didnt 19:20 ? it's clear NONE of the other contestants filmed this commercial by their reactions.

It is a Texas based sponsor of the pageant.. like the company is in Texas and she’s miss Texas so of course they would ask her to shoot a video with them. I think it’s really unfair to discredit Miss Texas for having only been in pageants a couple years. Some people just have an IT factor or natural talent. She was heavily favored and predicted to win from the get go, and her performances more than held up to the hype and expectations around her. Also, many of the other girls in the top 5 were not heavily experienced pageant girls either - both Nebraska and Ohio won their state titles on their first try- and they also had some of the best performances of the night.

It's superficial from start to finish, every word and pose comes from years of practice. Miss Texas was exceptional and in my humble opinion deserves the win. As a pageant grandma I always tell my granddaughters that first and foremost have fun do your best and to show good sportsmanship for their fellow pageant sisters. If these ladies participating in the Ms. USA pageant are going to be displaying bitter animosity against the pageant then they are also directly or indirectly affecting the winner in this case Ms. Texas regardless and that’s a very ugly look on them.

I don’t know anything about Miss USA but in college I did a few pageants with Miss America and it was similar. The last one I did the winner won all of the awards (6 in total) and her on stage question suited her platform to a T when others were very basic. A big reason why I couldn’t continue with pageantry was because this winner was also saying the N word backstage and she was white. It was just something that really bothered me and didn’t sit right with me. That isn’t to say pageantry is bad and I did get a lot of scholarships with that and most of the girls are very sweet and determined but I just know that whole situation was not good. And awarding a girl six awards out of almost 20 girls…something was not right.

Miss Texas has it all! I was expected her to win, she’s beautiful, smart, her platform was awesome!!! She deserves to win.

I hope all this negativity is not about her race. Texas is a multi racial State and we promote positivity. Be more kind to each other.

There is a reason why even Elle Smith said being Miss USA is ISOLATING. And this came from a woman who had girls rushing to "congratulate" her during her crowning moment seeming all happy for her.

I disagree with you that because R'bonney did not react means she knew that she was the winner. There are people who are very animated/show their emotions and there are people who doesn't really show much emotions. She deserve both Miss USA and Miss Universe title. The interviews showed that she really deserve those titles.

After watching the Miss USA 2022, i think Texas is the strongest candidate and the most deserving. She also said in one of her interviews in Texas television that she competed for 3 years until she won.. Imo you dont need to join many times to win. Some women won on their first attempt. No matter how you think about it, there are always bitter contentants in every pageants whether it is rigged or not. Scenario like this is how you can tell the difference between the girls and women. Their true color would show up.

Hey, just so you know, the way you introduced her ethnicity was kinda wild. Contrasting "half Filipino" with "half American" made it sound like you were comparing nationalities or implying that Filipinos can't be American. We out here 🤟🏽
@mermaidsexist43392 жыл бұрын
She def confused ethnicity to nationality 😮 but I feel she meant 1/2 Caucasian 1/2 Filipino ? Not sure

IF THE ORGANISERS BROKE PROTOCOL !! THEN THE CONTESTANTS, CAN FORGET ABOUT PROTOCOL JUST THE SAME !! WALK OFF, THE STAGE AND NOT CONGRATULATE THE WINNER !! IT'S GOT TO BE ABOUT ETHICS AND INTEGRITY, FAIR AND SQUARE !!! THAT IS WHY, YOU HAD ACCOUNTING FIRMS IN THE PAST VERIFYING THE RESULTS !*************** BY THE WAY ! THE WINNER IS VERY BEAUTIFUL, BUT IT'S THE PRINCIPLE AND HOW SHE WON THAT COUNTS AT THE END OF THE DAY !!!

i wanna point one thing out in regards to the articles - they probably posted ABOUT the contest 2 days prior but then updated it after to be about the winner, i’ve seen that a lot where an event just happened, but if you check the article itself, it’ll tell you when it was last updated. that’s likely what happened.

I really like you but some of your facts are a bit off. Miss USA last year it was her second pageant and she won. I competing in Pageants I have never brought any less than 2 to 3 evening gowns.
@josephinebello59242 жыл бұрын
Miss Texas was the clear winner with the swimsuit , the Q & A and the way she’s walking with her gowns ! MISS TEXAS was the clear winner .. Maybe go and review the competition. IF some of the contestants felt like they’re crops , I don’t blame them they think like it because they lose.

So, Miss Kiki ... Is there also rigged in Miss Universe 2023? 🙊
@gaildsnavarrete2 жыл бұрын
Why is it suspicious being in pageant for only 2 years? There are winners who only joined once and won the title. It only shows that now adays people over estimate themselves and think are the only one deserves to win. That if they loose it was rigged. Pity.

I looked up the Question and Answer for Miss Texas 2022 - and it looks like it was a RvW question - and I think that's why they took it down.

It doesn’t matter how many years you have done pageantry… it’s about how many hours you put into it. As a pro dancer who trained many hours a day, won my first pro title after 2 years… I beat “10 year professionals” If you’re good, you’re good. I was more prepared and trained harder. All the girls complaining just got out performed. It is the organization fault for clearly favoring her. But hey they saw a star and it shined so bright they couldn’t hide it. So plz stop talking lady. Let the losers be in their group. It’s lonely at the top
