Mike you started that match Ice CCold. I was thinking... Oh No! Nice warm up to pull it out. Yeah I'm in the Chi. There was a popular commercial in the 70's Where Orson Wells said "We will sell no wine before its time" The inference is that your viewers want you to produce a lot of content. But your vlogs have a special flow and perspective that you have to protect. Stay in your rhythm.

Great video and commentary. If colby wants to improve his game, I would recommend he starts playing 10 ball. He will understand quickly that he will have to maintain cue ball control or else he will keep giving the opponent the ball.

Love the videos! Don’t be afraid to hit the ball harder in order to get the cue ball to travel to where you want it to go. Soft is good but if you can’t get the English you need, sometimes you can use more pace to get to where you need to be. Keep em comin.

Ok, after watching your videos and knowing you play around Nashville, I always thought it would be the coolest thing to run into you one day, right. Well, lo and behold, who do I see at JOB's last night for the league playoffs? Mr Mike himself!! I just wanted to say again that I am a fan, I love your videos, and I really enjoyed getting a chance to meet you last night. Thanks again for taking the time to talk with me and getting to know me some. Highlight of my night! And I played pretty damn good yesterday, so what does that tell you? Holy cow that dude is a banger! 😂 Your game has improved since this match; note the position from the 6 to the 8 in the first game. You drew back most of the table when the balls were right next to each other. I doubt you'd do that today. Keep grinding! 🎱💪

When you make wine it needs to age to level out the alcohol flavor, you want to do that to get the true flavor of the wine. So the comment is saying that you need to take your time to plan and take your shots

It’s interesting hearing your thought process analyzing your shots. You need to use that same thought process while you are shooting. You’ll see your game and strategy improve immensely. Take a minute and study your options before you shoot. Love to play a game or two with you if you get down to Murfreesboro again. I have payed league for years, but have taken the year off since moving to TN.

Always a good day when I see you drop a video, Mike. Cue ball placement and positioning strategy can drastically affect the outcome, more so in an APA point system match. Winning the BIH turnover battle as much as possible is key, and it certainly helps a lot especially when playing slop masters 😂😂😂. @2:55 were you able to draw away from the 8 back to a similar position you are in now? Or follow 1/2 rails to the bottom and back out for the 8 in the same corner? Even short siding for the 8 in the bottom left would have been ok. Starting 1/7 in a race to 38 can be a huge hole vs starting 4/4. @6:35 that is a difficult and low percentage shot, but a very high probability for a lock down safety behind the 9 that would give you another BIH. @10:55 placing the cue ball with a slight angle and applying a bit more draw would leave you off the rail and closer to the 4, and would have given you a better shot on the 5. This is a great drill to practice, and is a very good weapon to have in your bag. @12:10 Colby should have placed the cue ball for a straight draw (no angle) on the 5 taking the snooker 8 out of play, and giving him an angle on the 6 to go 2/3/4 rails around the 8 back to the 7. @14:00 I was going to ask if the 1 carom off the 7 in the side was there, but the safe was very well executed and an even smarter play. Awesome Shot, Mike!!! @15:35 worked out well, but the smarter play is to place the cue ball near the 7, thin the 1 in the side, go up to between the left/middle diamond of the top rail, and come back down directly towards the 2. Staying along the position line gives you the leeway of missing short or long vs coming across your position line. Also, when shooting the 2, unless you were able to hit the 9 square, leaving yourself for a lock down safety when shooting the 3 would most likely snooker the slop master and have given you back BIH. Bumping into the 3 on your 2 ball brings scratch into play. @17:40 placing the cue ball between the 3 & 4 with top left and going 2/3 rails for the 4 in the bottom left would have been nice to see. Combo on the 8 needs to be pocket speed for the 3 to stay by the pocket even if you hit the 8 thin. Hitting the 8 square in this long combo is very difficult and very touchy, especially being so close to the rail and with so little room behind the 3. @18:55 place the cue ball just a hair more to your left so you can let your follow stroke out without fear of scratching, and go side rail - bottom rail for a straighter shot on the 5. @27:20 If you were clear of the 9 and if the 6 was not clear of the 7, go 6 into the rail, then carom off the 7 back into the corner (just don't scratch). The 7 will go towards the top right and you will have a shot on it next. @28:10 Playing this a little harder as a stun towards that chalk on the bottom rail, and going 2/3 rails back out for the 9 in the left side pocket would have been nice. @32:05 it is a difficult shot unless you practice it, but a stun or stun follow would have sent you between the 6/8, and even if you slightly bumped either or both of them, you most likely would have been ok. Stun is a very powerful weapon to have in your bag. I would love to see you play more stun when appropriate. @33:05 Great Safe, Mike!!!!!!! That is one from the pros!!! @34:05 Way to comeback and good leave on the 6!!! Just a bit more inside on the 6 would have cleared the 8. @36:20 that felt GREAT, Mike!!! @36:25 On 9 ft tables, low outside would be ok. However for bar tables, top inside and 3 rails around or above the 9, and back out to the middle of the table 100%. Even if you bump the 9, an unfortunate leave is not likely. Staying above on bar tables are more difficult vs 9 foot tables, because you need to add more outside and pace to your draw. @36:45 Safe all the way, Mike. Bank the 9 to the middle of the bottom rail. Left english on the cue and send to the top rail. Great chance to leave both balls on opposite rails. All in all, Great Win Mike!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Enjoyed watching you shoot and securing the W for your team!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another great video. Here is an observation. Towards the end of the match 37:44 you didn't seem to plan to give yourself a wide enough position corridor for the 3 ball. Here are 2 options that could have enabled you to extend your run. Had you played the cue off the rail for position on the 2 ball in the upper left that would have made the 3 ball position open up. Another option for the same 2 ball position without using the rail could have been setting the cue ball slightly inside the side pocket or just off the bottom nipple giving a back cut to stun over. Problem with 2nd option is ball speed needed increases chance of rattle out if you are not perfect. Preferred position on the 2 would be to allow you to either draw between 6 and 5 or go the the long rail past the 6. BTW I saw the outcome and paused the video before you shot the 1 ball and I was saying no no Mike don't do it that way :). BTW it "could" have worked but having the cue that close to the rail limited what you could do and because of that the corridor closed on you. Rooting for you. Hopefully I saw the table properly in this instance and this is helpful feedback.

Half ball hit is referred to as CTE (center to edge). That 9 ball cut was a 1/4 ball hit. You hit about 3/8, hence the over cut. But you followed that up with a smooth, center pocket, roll in the upper corner. Well done!
