Looks great! Shannon from Black Sheep house uses rugged tan as the base. She’s the first person I saw do this technique. I have all the materials but haven’t made the time.

I did this technique to a chest of drawers back in the 70’s. It was called antiquing, you would paint your piece whatever color you wanted as a base. Then you would “antique” the piece with either white or brown glaze depending on the look you were after. Mine was baby blue base with white glaze. It started as a dark stained wood finish, the blue/white was very cute in a teenager girls bedroom. Love ❤️ how these nightstands turned out. I’m glad to see this technique coming back in style.

Great job. Glad you're back. Does the Bondo fill the holes in the back side of the drawers or do you leave the whole unfilled on the back?
@GlendaChavez Жыл бұрын
it could! I don't ever just because I feel like it doesn't matter, but im sure it does matter to some. If you add tape to the back(inside) then add the bondo from the outside like I did, you can push the product in until it fills it in all the way! Hope that helps! ❤️

All I use a chip brush for is chemical stripper then throw them away. Too hard to put on glaze or paint with one . Their bristles are not made to hold much product.

The dark glaze looked too dry. If you add clear glaze or water it would spread better. Also, it is so vital to wear safety glasses when drilling or using any power tools. Better safe than sorry.
