As long as he's not in the way when the hour chimes and the changeover happens I don't see what the problem is. He's not disorderly, he's not bothering anyone and he appears to have respect for The Guards. Let him be and allow him to enjoy the experience. He's less trouble than some of the tourists that's for sure.

I thought that this was strangely beautiful in a surreal kind of way: but then again, I'm British. Who's to say that he and the horse were not communicating on some level. Unsteady on his feet and pissed as a fart, he was better behaved than most of the riffraff seen at Horseguards.

So he parks he’s chair on the footpath, has a bit of a drink, talks to imaginary friends, gets up gives the horses a loving pat, and moves on. He is no more of a nuisance then the pesky, annoying crowds that gather round the guards and horses being disrespectful. The way he acted, I would say he is a veteran and notice how the horses reacted to he’s gentle touch. The horses respected him more than they do the crowds. Hopefully that gentleman reached he’s destination safely.

He was very respectful to the guards and even the horses took notice of him as he talked to each one and patted them. Just maybe if this world watched him again and again, as Christ, says , be aware that you may be entertaining Angels unaware. Now, don’t start tossing words at me for the passage. Just note that Angels are everywhere and in human form, as is Satan walking around seeing whom he can destroy. I wholeheartedly agree with your sentiment, but on a small point of infirmation, the MOD police do have the power of arrest as they are fully attested constables and have co operation agreements with the territorial constabularies in whose territories they operate. However, drunk and disorderly is one of those offences in English law where anyone has the power to make an arrest.

i do love seeing the horses in the clips you put up but this man has a mental illness and calling his behaviour craziness is stigmatising, especially when it turns out that he was gentle with the horses (not to mention that they were fine with him) and didn't cause any issues. Please try not to judge people like that too harshly. Most of us can see when someone is being a prat, has issues or maybe doesn't understand the language and protocols (though i do wish tour guides would make sure they were fully aware of the rules, if people are with a group).

He has plonked himself right in the middle of the pavement, obstructing the way. Who is he talking to? He should move closer to the wall and stop quarrelling with himself.

The horseguards get enough harassment without some belligerent drunk sat there. He should have been moved on.
