Hi Jackie I-started the carnivore diet January 2020. My starting weight was 547, as of today my weight is 356. I stalled a lot last year. I usually OMAD so I’m looking forward to doing ADF challenge with you and everyone else. Good luck everyone .😊😊😊
I'm so grateful and excited that you're doing this challenge! I've been stuck on a plateau for several weeks after losing 60 pounds. I have 60 more to go and I think this is what I need to get me going again. Thank you so much, Jackie! ❤

Started fasting June 15th 275lb male 5'7, as of today Sept. 15th I am 225, goal is 160 roughly. Trained myself to not eat any sooner than 24 hours, I do a 48 hour fast 1x/wk. Long term I want to get back to OMAD but 48 hour is for weight loss; good thing is, since I started doing 48 hour fast, it trained my mind that 24 hours feels too soon when in fact that is a long fast. On days I eat, I alternate between a protein shake and dinner, for shakes (load it up with 1/4 cup chia seeds, 2 scoops of whey which is 50g protein powder, throw in some pecans, milk, tbsp or 2 of sugar for taste which better if you leave it out of course but it hasn't slowed my weight loss, and also use blueberry or strawberry extract for additional taste + cup of blueberries or strawberries pending flavor I am going for. I eat whatever meat 8oz roughly, + rice and potatoes with my meals and still losing weight, but I keep my veggies the highest % on my plate, again better if you eat a protein/veggie only and leave carbs out but I am thinking about SUSTAINABILITY, I love carbs, so I minimize them but not rule it out completely (same with sugar), I still put condiments on my meals and sugar in my protein shake for taste, you have to love your meal plan while keeping the sugar and carbs to as minimum as possible The problem I think after people hit their goal weight is they shock their body with unhealthy eating habits from the past because they are tired of their "DIET" , this should be a lifestyle change and I would be lying to myself if I were to say I am never going to have sugar, condiments, carbs with my meals again. So find your perfect time slot for a fast, for me I think OMAD is perfect. More power to you for keeping sugar and carbs out completely but I am proof weight loss is possible with it in moderation, don't forget exercise, muscles are important for weight loss/weight maintenance and I don't mean body builder type

I’m so excited about you doing this!! I started OMAD 3 years ago when Covid started. When I hit a plateau I started ADF for one week and loved it so much I just kept doing it for like 6 months and never looked back. That’s until I got pregnant. My baby is almost a year and a half now and I’ve been doing OMAD for the last 8 months but this may be my motivation to go back to ADF!

Thanks for the video. Your 500 calorie down days have been a life-saver for me. I had heard of them, but you showing them in the video really helped me understand it. I have been doing the 500-calorie down days during March. Now that April is here, I look to do a full ADF fast 3 times a week. I agree it’s easier not having to plan a meal. I will definitely be posting my results. I will post my current results under this post when I have my weigh-in with my personal trainer on Thurs. April 6.

Jackie, I just love your positive attitude!! I know that in your initial live video where you first mentioned this, you mentioned that we can choose the schedule that works for us. I would not want to completely fast over the weekend on either day. But I could definitely do Monday, Wednesday and Friday as fasting days, with I.F. on the other days. So, if we can create our own ADF schedule, then I'm definitely in!

Perfect timing! Like you I love OMAD, but did ADF with a colleague in February and realized how much I enjoyed it. I relaxed my fasting in March, meaning I fasted but not OMAD and I had lots of 16:8 and 14:10 days, but I knew I was going to do ADF n April and possibly May too. Unfortunately, my colleague can't join me due to scheduled surgery, so I'm glad I caught your video. Now I feel like I am doing it with others and have the support of people in the same situation. My goal is true ADF with no 500 cal days like I did in February. Good luck all!

I really like your schedule. Sounds good. I am ketovore and do a monk fast (weekly 36 hour) I think I will make sure one down day is a clean fast, but leave it open for a small dinner and coffee on the other two. Maybe with a meal to look forward to, I won't be so grumpy. I have fasted weekly for a couple months, so I am still working on that muscle. I was looking for something different for this month and this sounds just like what I need. The studies on ADF are awesome. Thanks for the share and idea :)

Currently I'm running with ADF on a Monday, Wednesday and Saturday schedule. This has delivered 1-1.5kg weight loss per week for the last 2 weeks and I feel really good too. I'm M51, 97kg SW CW 94kg GW 80kg. Very glad I found this ADF thing because it has been by far the most effective and sustainable way of fasting for me mainly because it seems to decrease hunger and cravings massively. Therefore when I'm on a 36hr fast day I don't feel deprived at all. I'll keep going with this protocol until it plateaus and see where we go from there !

I’m glad you posted this. Found your channel yesterday and have been binge watching ever since. I’m a seasoned faster and find it pretty easy to do OMAD, but I do tend to snack more than I like and keep my window open too long. Last January I started doing a 5 day fast each month and that helped keep me from gaining too much, but I found myself binging after and gaining it all back pretty quickly. I’m two weeks behind you, but am going to try the ADF and OMAD schedule starting tomorrow to see if it helps. I’ve gained more the past 6 months and my clothes no longer fit, so I’m ready to get the excess off and get back in my clothes.
