I'm glad you did the sound test with decibels as it's hard to find without buying it.

I’ve had one for several months, works great for small stuff. Not great for drywall dust or similar as it clogs that small filter quickly but for everything else perfect.

I'm getting one to use at the workshop. The least of my concerns is the loudness as this vacuum is nothing compared to an angle grinder running at full speed!

I love the hand vac. It’s the longest-running and consistently strongest hand vac I have ever owned (and I have had hand vacs since the early 1990’s). But I have trouble emptying it. You need strong hands. I am a 60yo female with a little bit of arthritis. There has to be a way to make emptying it easier.

Is it the same model? I wonder how long have you had it? The only solutions I came up are getting the nozzle stuck in something, and trying to use elbows and body to twist it. Or whet the parts that are too big in the connections, but that can ruin the seal and it might not stay placed.

Great video. I was looking for a small handheld vacuum for our car. I have Ryobi tools, but I wanted to see how the suction was on this vacuum. Your video was a big help.

@@LucidProductReviews no problem, been a change of plans, found out about a adapter for our Dyson v6 vacuum which allows it to run of ryobi 18v batteries

@@brettchattaway5242 Good idea, if you already own Dyson V6 vacuum. Are the batteries as good as Dyson batteries?
@brettchattaway5242 Жыл бұрын
Ryobi batteries are a lot bigger, and they last a long time, Dyson is a fairly thin battery lasting about 4 years, ryobi in my experience last longer than 4 years

I have had mine for a little over a year. It has started to make a squeaking sound when turn it on. Is there a way of oiling it?

That's a great question for the manufacturer. Not sure if they are made to be serviced.

The filter should have been a little bigger so it would restrict flow so fast.

I have this now and I don’t see why it’s not a Con that air shoots out the side so much, it blows away everything around it. Turning it into a leaf blower not a vacuum.
@LucidProductReviews Жыл бұрын
It only has on/off switch and can't adjust the power level. In that price bracket, you get limited features.
@michaelbarker8713 Жыл бұрын
No, it’s not worth it. I have one and the filter fills up too fast and the suction isn’t that great even when the filter is clean. It’s a good thing that it’s easy to clean.
@LucidProductReviews Жыл бұрын
Thank you for your input. What is your choice of a hand vacuum?
@brettchattaway5242 Жыл бұрын
Filter Fills up too quick,😂😂😂😂
@rickhinojosa54555 ай бұрын
It is a portable, small, handheld vacuum. NONE of them have a big storage area. That's just not feasible with a small handheld vacuum UNLESS you have a bagged one that has a big bag attached. It's great for most purposes, like the car, where people can use it weekly and vacuum up a not too big pile of debris.
@jimbarron8688Ай бұрын
The mesh prefilter on the filter holder seems to clog up very quickly thereby seriously reducing the suction power. The filter itself remains clean although slightly dusty when removed. It's likely best for less fine particles as the smaller debris clogs the prefilter almost immediately. Still quite a good vacuum and an good addition to the Ryobi 18v system. Considering cutting away the fine mesh of the filter housing and letting the filter do all the work. I feel the overall performance may improve... there's no going back though.

Yeah unfortunately, i'd be curious to see how it does with one of the attachments. This is also Ryobi's cheapest hand vac, the more expensive ones are supposedly more powerful.
@alflyle9955 Жыл бұрын
I think you need to calibrate your decibel meter! I found the noise level to be intolerable after only a few seconds the first time I turned on my new unit. I don't care about any of the other features of this vacuum that you included in your review since I had no time to check them out. I shut off the unit a few seconds after I started it. Anyone buying this POS needs to invest in hearing protection or deafness is coming teir way. Remember that this is a hand-held unit so you are up close and personal with that screaming motor every second you are using it unlike a household vacuum cleaner you are familiar with using. Today I am returning the unit I bought at Home Depot yesterday. These things are on sale at Home Depot, and I can see why they want to get them off their shelves ASAP before the reviews come in.

All vacuums are loud. And, disposable earplugs are cheap. So, return it at the point-of-sale (POS) and use the refund to buy some pep to bismol for your belly ache. 🙄

Loud - if you're vacuuming the last thing you should be concerned with is noise. Noise = suction! Batteries - if you own a Dewalt charger, just google Dwalt battery adapter. There are adapters out there that you can use on NON-dewalt devices so that a Dewalt battery can be used for the device - [actually Dewalt batteries are one of the best cordless batteries]
