I called Canon and she told me this printer has not been tested for Cardstock but that it can take paper up to 73 lbs. Anything heavier will damage the Print Roller Head she said.

Hi! *The ink can run from $25-$55 dollars depending on where you get it from and if it's generic or not, I don't have an issue with generic it's just my preference. *I haven't had to replace my ink yet and I set the printer up in January, I use it fairly regularly. I consider myself a moderate user. Not sure about the functionality of the cartridges in relation to one another, that may take some googling.

No, you can create your image with any program you like, but using a Cricut machine (or any die-cutting machine) and its software allows you to cut the image out perfectly. You can also use good old-fashioned scissors though 😊

Hi Melissa, So to my understanding this printer won't take sublimation ink. I just recently converted my epson ecotank to a sublimation printer and the ink I used has worked well for me so far. Installation went easily though the HP Smart Printing doesn't work well with our laptops - having to select the actual device. Will have to see how the HP Instant Ink program works out. The only thing I kinda hate is that it doesn’t have a screen on the printer itself. The menu is a little outdated it seems. I guess I need to just mess with it and get familiar with the menu and navigation of it. But for the most part I really like it. I had to clear out a big section of my desk since it’s a pretty big size.

Hey, so just purchased this printer. What’s your settings? I am trying to print on transfer paper. I am not sure of what’s setting to print on. What type of paper do I select for printing on heat transfer paper?

I would say it sits softly on top of the shirt and it's flexible.

Depends on what you're looking to create, but if you'd like to cut different materials with precision a cutting machine like Cricut or Silhouette will get the job done.

Yes I have a silhouette just wondering how easy this printer that I got would be to make my job easier cause the silhouette is kind of hard to understand when designing on it

Cricut's Design Space works for me, I'd say it's user friendly. Though there are some things that can be added and improved upon, I haven't had any problems with my designs.

So from what I understand, unless the Canon was specifically made for sublimation, it's easier to just convert an epson ecotank- kzbin.info/www/bejne/qoTOgJSEaZKgaac or just buy a sublimation printer, like the sawgrass.

Take the end of the paper first (left corner) and it will come off easier. Very pretty
